Flower crown

Noah eyes warm and smile soft, a sensation to hug Tulip wants to take over him, but he doesn't. Letting Tulip fiddle with the white and yellow flowers with its green stems, her big eyes attempt to look at the crown even though it isn't possible.

"Pretty."

Noah mutters, Tulip ears perk up and her movement stops, staring at Noah who dazedly watches her.

"Pretty? Me?"

Tulip asks and Noah nods, not feeling flustered or embarrassed to admit his feelings to Tulip who wouldn't judge him. To his surprise she reveals an expression she hasn't shown yet, Tulip face turning red and head low. After a moment, Noah laughs and scoots away from Tulip back to his sand castle.

"Best sand castle gets two puddings tonight!!"

Noah declares and Tulip gasps, recognising the word pudding. Tonight they will be having pudding after dinner, Noah's mother got them an extra so they'll have to fight it out later or now.

One and a half month has passed since Tulip started living with them. A week since the encounter with Tulip and Noah friends. Noah break is over, so he has to go to school. Meaning Tulip will be alone without him for the first time since they have met..

Noah is now grabbing his bag, his bag that was empty for a month and half is now heavy with textbooks to put in the school lockers, and food to keep him nourished for 8 hours.

Noah's Mum is waiting at the front door with Tulip. Bag now strapped on and new pair of shoes for his feet that has overgrown his old pair, Noah stride to the door and grabs his sun hat on their hatstand. His mother is the first to reach out to him, petting his head and crouching down to embrace Noah. Noah laughs hugging his mother back. Then parting when she habitually tucks his hat lower and tells him to be careful.

Noah's Mum steps back. Now there is Tulip who doesn't look at him, but covers the door from him anyway. Noah grins, knowing this would happen, every time he mentions of school including when he was teaching her of the word, she expressed her dislike in unique ways. Now that the day has come it looks like she's not going to have him go.
