Tight bond

"Tulip, I have to go."

Noah pats her on the shoulder, smiling at her gently. Tulip glances at him with her eyes that are covered by her hair, shaking her head. Both Noah and his mother are patient when it comes to understanding Tulip, however today is different with school.

Attempting to push her away, however Tulip stands strong, stubbornly standing her ground. Not giving in to his attempt at puppy eyes.

Contemplating on what to do, a realisation struck Noah and he gazes at Tulip worriedly, she takes notice of Noah's change and peers up at him, tilting her head slightly. Noah stands there feeling stuck, he knows it is unlikely that Tulip can be so similar to him, sharing the same trauma as him, however knowing that it is a possibility has him anxious. Unable to face this problem himself, Noah looks back at his mother, admitting that he can't do this by himself with his eyes. Stepping in and without a word reaches to tuck her arms under Tulip pits. Tulip squirms and cries out, not being able to go against someone picking her up.

"I'm sorry Tulip, I'll see you soon!"

"I promise!!"

Noah exclaim and runs out, not wanting to look at Tulip whose red with tears and struggle against his mother. The door slowly shuts, and Tulip sobs against Noah's mother who comforts her.

Another month pass.

Tulip quickly got use to Noah going to school, knowing he'll be back at the end of the day. School is different here, it was only for a couple of hours and there wasn't any on 'weekends'. Noah explained to her that weekends are Saturday and Sunday. When Tulip asks him why they get breaks on those days, he tells her he doesn't know why they get breaks on Saturday and Sunday, then trailing off muttering that he wishes his mother got a break on both days too.

Tulip didn't understand, so she asked his mother. To which she laughed and explained school kids get two days off because they are growing, it wont be good if they get sick from studying. Adults are stronger mentally and physically. Tulip then understood, except for the words 'mentally and physically'. Though she still reiterates the words to Noah, happy to see his troubled thoughts eased.
