We were teleported

We barely had time to catch our breath before everything shifted. One moment, we were standing at the edge of the campus, the comforting sight of familiar buildings in the distance. The next, the world around us twisted and contorted, and we were swallowed by a vortex of swirling shadows.

"Lise!" I shouted, reaching for her, but my voice seemed to be swallowed by the darkness.

Everything was a blur. The cold, the sensation of being torn apart and reassembled, and then suddenly, solid ground beneath my feet again. I stumbled, disoriented, and blinked to clear my vision. 

We were back in the forest, but it was different. The air was heavier, the shadows deeper. And this time, it wasn't just a sense of foreboding. Dark figures emerged from the gloom, their eyes glowing with malicious intent.

"What just happened?" I gasped, looking around frantically.
