After we got home and Hestia and Bell each took one of the sides rooms, I built that were a little bare in terms of decoration and furniture, but the rooms had beds and a dresser for their stuff while I meanwhile needed to have sit down with my goddess about what the hell is up with her messing with that cowgirl.

"So Seshat want to explain what is up with how you want to recruit that cow beastkin? We know literally nothing about her, and should we even get someone involved in the nonsense I am going to bring about, just by existing?" I questioned the cat goddess.

The only response I got for a moment was a smug catty smile but seeing my dull look she finally spoke. "Jake, frankly we need a 'servant' or someone to take care of us. We simply don't have the time to deal with cooking, cleaning, and all that other menial stuff when you spend half a day in the dungeon growing at ludicrous speeds admittedly but the other half of the day you spend either crafting or creating lists of materials that you will need for crafting in the future!" Seshat said strongly and I grimaced at the truth of her words.

I had spent literally hours a day reviewing my memories of the stronger Terraria mods, the resources they would need, and obviously what path I should take my growth as once I hit level two finally after a month or so of adventuring, I will be able to get Fargo's and that's when my strength will skyrocket due to being able to make all those enchantment accessories.

But the crafting of those things was going to be an indescribable resource sink thus I was trying to account for everything I needed.

"But still, we literally know nothing about her and her being a cow beastkin in a sexy maid costume isn't a good enough reason to recruit her to your Familia Seshat... Don't be a Loki." I added on making her hold her chest as my statement shot into her chest like an arrow.

"Fine Seshat. You can have this... Beatrice girl, after you ask some questions about whether she plans to steal from or harm us so I can hear her intentions. But in return I am in charge of recruitment, I don't want a bunch of random people joining our Familia as I have plans and our Familia growing too large and having too many interests will harm that." I laid out and Seshat sighed looking at me like I was stupid.

"Jake, she wants the dick of a man who tamed a goddess... Your scent is literally a divine sign board saying, 'I am a perfect mate for strong children' to Beastkin." She said flatly making my eye twitch but thankfully she shrugged and continued.

"But I thought she would make a good little sub for you as our love making is more a competition and fight most of the time as I buck against you. Either way I accept your deal, I get a cute maid to take care of me and Hestia, if she actually doesn't have any weird intentions." Seshat said basically accepting my deal of being in charge of recruitment.

I nodded not exactly all too happy about it but honestly, I needed to get over it. I likely wasn't going to be able to fill my Familia with just the canon characters of note, but I still needed and wanted more Familia members as the massive tower I made was extremely empty to say the least.

Like it or not I needed other people as I literally couldn't trek all around Genkai hunting for certain ingredients like even common desert sand... The nearest desert was literally a whole week away from Orario on the back of tamed wyverns that the Hermes Familia had. So, if I wanted to get all the rare resources, I needed I had to play nice with everyone to an extent as otherwise I couldn't create jack.

"Anywho. She should be here soon, let's go outside and meet her!" Seshat said excitedly as she dragged me outside her shop, into the tower and towards the tower's exit.

"Hold on let me get the lava parted." I spoke as I took the remote out of my inventory and had the draw bridge system lower itself which blocked the lava from flowing over the doorway allowing us to freely exit the tower.

"I had an idea... I should get a massive amount of sand and turn it into glass and make a glass sphere around our property so we can fill the property with tree's I can grow that are made literally out of gems!" I said just imagining people trying to break through the glass sphere with no success as they see the Gem Trees with fist sized diamonds and other fruit shaped gems hanging off them.

Would be a good source of actual income as I was all too aware that I was selling my weapons and accessories for ridiculously low prices but in the end, I was selling them for connections and favor rather than profit.

"Where would you get that much san- Actually yeah the river that leads to Melen and the sea would have plenty." Seshat shrugged as we walked outside our tower, and I took in the star filled sky above us as night had long fallen while our Familia's had walked home together.

Me and Seshat just generally made some conversation with the main bit being the whole Boss Party bash that was set to happen in a couple days with several Familia's going to one of Orario's surrounding old fortresses to fight the summoned boss monsters so their level ones and twos could level up.

But I was going to have a surprise for them. I was all but ready to create the Eye of Cthulhu spawn item, as well as the Eater of Worlds along with Brain of Cthulhu's spawn items.

"See Jake, even hours later she came here knowing what was offered." Seshat spoke as we both clearly saw Beatrice clad in her somewhat revealing maid uniform walking towards our tower and us by extension.

Obviously, she was nervous as her first words showed that clearly. "Uhm hello... I am here I guess." She spoke unsurely and Seshat grinned seeing her look so demure.

"Hello dearie this is just a precaution as our Familia shop is here but to clarify you don't have any goals to steal or harm us, do you?" Seshat asked straightforwardly.

"Oh, dear's gods in heavens absolutely not! I have never harmed anyone outside of an accident and I have zero interests in commit crimes or even fighting!" Beatrice said strongly and if anything, Seshat's grin grew even larger as she looked to me.

"Well Jake, go get her." She said pushing me towards Beatrice in a matching method of how she pushed my face into the shy cow beastkin's large breasts. Sure, if you were a simple civilian your life was rather secure barring a psychotic adventurer snapping. But for adventure's? Our lives were very much on a timer of a clock as eventually the dungeon would catch us in a monster party or something.

So, with adventurer's always going to the redlight district to burn off the stress of fighting for their lives, the civilians who looked up the said adventurers would follow the same outlook especially beastkin who were more intune with their instincts and went after people they considered to be a caretaker and protector.

"So, Beatrice. You do recall that my goddess wanted to temp hire you as a sort of caretaker for our living area while also joining her Familia." I stated more than asked with the cow girl nodding shallowly.

"Yes Jake. I want to join the Familia even though I am not much for combat though." She said wryly and I raised an eyebrow as I never told her my name, nor had Seshat unless she included that in that note, she wrote to the girl that had our address.

"You already gathered some information on our Familia?" I asked with as I led the girl to what was once the solar room but with the tower built over the shop only the faint false star light of the star map Seshat made filled the room as I led her to a nearby couch so we could actually talk for a bit, and I could get to know her a bit.

Beatrice actually chuckled at my question as she sat down on the couch, and I noticed that even as she sat down gracefully her large breasts still bounced mightily in the motion.

"So why do you want to join a Familia or even mine in general?" I asked as I leaned back into the couch, and I watched as her eyes dipped down to my chest and waist as I stretched with the motion.

Thankfully she didn't go into a complete stupor of a heat like previously, so she shook her head and answered my question. "Well, I want to be a great chef you know? I mean I most vehemently refuse to go into the dungeon to fight monsters, but I want to get skills and maybe even a development ability to cook better as it's my favorite thing to do."

Hmm I wonder if the Falna can actually give a chef development ability... At least I never heard of such a thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were such a thing.

"But uhm... I kind of like you as well? I mean even after only half a day since it has happened all of Orario has heard about how you have literally made a completely safe tunnel down into the dungeon through all the floors and into Rivira even if it was only 'With the help of the Loki Familia'." She said making quotations around the Loki Familia helping bit as her eyes shined while she stared up at me.

I nodded as they truly were indispensable in creating the tunnel as the pissed of dungeon most certainly didn't like me tunnelling through its flesh. "Yeah, Loki's executives helped a lot with killing the monsters as I used my magic to build the tunnel. But I'm surprised you already heard of it?"

Beatrice's eyes widen at the question, and she lunged forward grabbing on my hands into her own as she stared up at me earnestly. "No Jake! No, you don't understand at all! For us common civilians who can't make it as an adventure, we never ever see you adventures create or do anything of note, that isn't killing something or just doing something that isn't inherently violent. Plus, the potions you guys been selling for super cheap has been a boon to the poorer people who can't pay adventurer prices to get healed at magical clinics!" She rushed and I honestly never really thought about how people. would love the potions.

I mean I literally made them in fifty-gallon drums as all it took was water and magically attuned mushrooms, I could literally create garbage bags full of before getting tired.

"I mean... I appreciate adventurers fighting in the dungeon to keep our lights lit, our stoves going hot. But more often all we civilians see or hear especially around the redlight district is some drunk adventure going on a rampage as they have nightmares of their dead comrades or just don't want to pay the men or women they sleep with." Beatrice spoke and with how she mentioned the redlight district I was once again reminded on how for whatever reason STD's weren't a thing here in Danmachi due to the robustness of our adventure bodies.

"So, you would be content cleaning up after us, cooking for us, and even selling stuff for us in the shop with Goddess Hestia and my own Goddess Seshat?" I questioned her as I pulled her closer to me.

"Uhm can I at least get a shower first?" Beatrice asked embarrassedly as the scent of our joining let alone the sticky feeling was a bit of a mood killer for the event of her getting her own Falna.

"Bah fine take Jake with you. Bell is already up and ready to go to the Loki Familia as the whole Boss Party event is today." Seshat reminded me making me groan at how the weekend had crept up on me too damn soon.

I wanted to pad out my stats more, that way when I killed the next three bosses in the Eye and Brain of Cthulhu and the Eater of Worlds. I could level up with damn near or perfect stats. But I suppose it will all work out even if I take a couple more days.

And neither Hestia nor Seshat were into tentacle play, thank all the deities within Tenkai for that.

As me and Bell were heading towards the Loki Familia's mansion of the Twilight Manor as that was where we and the caravan of people heading towards one of Orario's neighboring castles were supposed to meet up, Bell asked me for advice as she knew even with her grappling hook she could get caught and smashed as I very clearly told her I had new boss monsters and that they were dangerous.

"I will explain when we get into things, so I don't have to repeat myself a dozen times... Just keep moving no matter what." I left open ended, as I really had no 'perfect' advice for any of the bosses other than fly way above the Eater and bomb the crap out of him, but who knows if that will even be possible here in a 3-dimensional world.

Once we arrived at Loki's Twilight Manor it was a bit of a mad house as the whole street in front of the manor was filled with covered carriages obviously for carrying supplies and people from Orario to the site of the soon to be destroyed castle. To say nothing of the crowd of people loading up into the carriages along with supplies.

"Let's go find Loki members to see where we need to be." I muttered to Bell as I wrapped an arm over her shoulders, so I didn't lose her as horses trotted to and from along with the people rushing in and out of the Twilight Manor.

Not only that but the guards were so swamped with directing the goods and people that we literally walked through the front gate with no issue as we walked in with purpose.

Once we got into the enclosure of the Loki Manor, I saw Riveria directing some female elves that were looking to her worship on where to store and transport the potions that were being taken to the site.

"Riveria, I wanted to know where Bell and I should be in this caravan." I asked and Riveria looked up to me from her clipboard and blinked in surprise seeing me in the middle of Loki's compound.

"How did you get in here; shouldn't the guards have directed you? No, it's irrelevant now, anyway yes Finn is at the front of the caravan, and he wanted to speak with you about how this is to all go anyway." Riveria explained before waving her hands at us for us to shoo or something.

"Here follow us, Lady Riveria is very busy right now." A brunette elf spoke to us, and I just held up my hands as I nodded taking Bell with me as I left Riveria to her list as the Loki Familia elf escorted us out of the compound and literally watched us walk towards the lead caravan.

Once we reached the lead caravan, I wasn't at all surprised to see Finn also doing some check work for supplies for the literal three or four hundred people apparently as to say the least people were hopeful for their chances to fight a weaker Monster Rex that could guarantee their level up without needing to force themselves to fight Minotaur's or Infant Dragons which could be more dangerous than a Slime King.

But the aspect that wasn't at all surprising was how Tione was hovering over her captain and all but growling at anyone who came to take up his time.

"Finn, I will be in the back of the cart so we can talk on the way. I got news of the new Monster Rex's I can summon and will need help clearing as they are more dangerous than the last two." I spoke up with Tione's face twisting into a snarl at my voice directly addressing her beloved captain but seeing it was me her face dropped the fierce visage and adopted a smile.

"Oh, new monsters... Alright just be aware the Freya's caravan will be catching up later, apparently, they will be guarding the Dian Chet Familia members who will be coming to setup a healing center." He told me even though I had no idea why he saw fit to share that information before I realized he was telling me that if the new monsters were so dangerous, we should leave them till Freya's adventures got there.

But he told me in that way he could save Loki Familia's face rather than just saying 'Just in case the monsters were too dangerous, let's just wait.'

On the way to the castle Finn joined us in the cart allowing one of his level 3 Familia members apparently drive the cart so I began to explain to him the general abilities of the three bosses though I made sure to not share their names as the whole Cthulhu and Eater of Worlds bit could drive the deities of Orario into doing something... Stupid to say the least.

"So how long or huge is the new centipede like monster you mentioned." Finn asked and I shrugged as my estimates for the Desert Scourge were wrong with the monster being almost double the size, I mentioned but people never really called me on it, as it was already so huge it made little difference.

"I cannot say but putting level twos and threes against it will only lead to their deaths probably. Even if it solo focused on me." I replied wryly as I realized I needed to get stuff that drew aggro away from me even if that would lead to other people's deaths.

Bell's hand that was on my arm flexed and she asked. "Jake but as a level one shouldn't you like not be summoning such a monster to begin with?" At that question even Finn's eyebrow rose as he looked at me with interest and I knew he was going to take whatever I said to put in a bit of a psyche file or something.

"I would like some of the drops that come out of the monsters... Not only that but facing those will obviously give me the Excellia I need to level up as well." I added on with Finn nodding in understanding as fighting Monster Rex's and boss monsters always gave the best Excellia and high quality Excellia always made your stats grow by far the fastest.

Which is how Bell's cheat Liaris Freese worked. The amount of drive and desire she had would upgrade the lesser almost worthless low quality Excellia to high quality Excellia which would make her stats shoot up into the stars at an unprecedented rate.

After a while longer we finally arrived at the castle, and I could hear Tiona yelling out in joy at the ride ending but before me and Bell could hop out Finn spoke again. "Also, Jake, the Guild and other forces are very much interested in the tunnel you made through the dungeon into Rivira. The Loki Familia can hold our own, but a safe shortcut through the dungeon is a very appealing target to people especially with how you locked it down preventing anyone from entering despite people being able to see through the windows you left open on the walls."

Finn's calm eyes held me in place as he spoke very deliberately. "So be careful as you walk through Orario. That key you gave to Riveria has become a symbol to easily getting to Rivira without dealing with any monsters and supposedly the arrogant merchants are looking for assassins to take hits out on you to retrieve it."

I just sighed shaking my head. "If they want to die that's their business. I won't die so easily especially to a blade in the dark, but either way if something does happen... Thanks for the warning I can handle it." I spoke as I calmy stepped down from the carriage while Bell was waiting outside obvious to what Finn was warning me about.

A bit of a history lesson for the surroundings of Orario. Way back before the gods put the cap on the dungeon that was the Tower of Babel. The surfaces world was a hellhole with monsters constantly pouring out of the gaping maw into the earth that was the dungeon, it was only when the gods capped the dungeon after some gods went into to explore it, and even with their Arcanum fully being used those gods died and never returned to Tenkai and to this day have never reformed and are the only gods to have truly died.

But with the dungeon being capped, the mortal races along with the spirits and newly arrived gods who blessed the mortals with the Falna system over the course of centuries eventually cleared out the area surrounding Orario of monsters. But in doing so they left hundreds of fortresses in the area surrounding Orario which are now used nowadays to host War Games if the chosen game requires such a location.

Now such a site was going to host several boss monsters.

"Do you think you will be able to summon like... Thirty bosses at once! That would be so cool Haha!" Tiona laughed as she found me and Bell just hanging out awkwardly as everyone set up their stuff.

For a moment I considered the logistics of fighting so many monsters rex's... And then I recalled with Fargo's the mod I was going to get next I will literally be able to do so.

"I can... Just I don't think its a good idea Tiona." I said wryly and then Ais walked over to us and following the blond beauty was the lesbian elf herself... Lefiya.

"Finn told me you had new monsters. Are they strong yet?" Ais bluntly asked and I nodded slighlty.

"Well, they will certainly be stronger than the others but also larger and much more dangerous." I said dryly but Ais only nodded subtly smiling like the battle-maniac she was.

"Uhm will these boss monsters help even level threes like me level up or just get high amounts of Excellia?" Lefiya asked and I just nodded for the uptenth time before I pulled out a new sparking wand.

"Here Lefiya I got you a gift. Go play with the magic stick." I said nicely and as she took it reflexively and her mind connected with the staff and shot out a couple sparks, she seemed to somehow miss how I was trying to get rid of her.

"Uhm Jake, Lady Riveria already gave me the Wand of Sparking you sold her. Apparently, it made her really mad because she couldn't figure out how you preset magic within the staff like a Crozzo sword but without the whole breaking bit." Lefiya awkwardly explained to me but then her eyes found Bell who was standing beside me.

"Ah sorry, my name is Lefiya Virirdis of the Loki Familia, it's nice to meet you." She said bowing to Bell rather than offering to shake her hand or anything, as elves were mostly racist against other races and literally didn't want to touch them.

"Hello Miss Viridis! Uhm is that why Riveria didn't want to talk to us this morning." Bell asked reminding me of how short and brusque Riveria was at the start of the caravan.

While Lefiya and Bell were gossiping about Riveria, Ais sidled up next to me as she spoke. "Could I commission a thinner or less heavily sword? This broadsword is too unwieldy." She asked tapping the Tungsten broadsword she still was wearing at her side.

I hummed in thought as I ran through the sword recipes in my head and realized a true melee sword would probably be for the best for her as she already had her wind magic to give her more range and such. But then I recalled another sword that would fit her pefectly from the calamity mod. The wind blade made out of Aeralite bars and some sunspot blocks would send tornadoes of sharp wind blades to suck up foes and tear them apart with each swing sending a small tornado.

"Yeah... I got an idea of how to make your sword. And it will actually make your wind magic quite a bit stronger as well." I spoke aloud as I thought about how I could kill the Perforator and Hive Mind Calamity bosses that were harder versions of the previous Crimson and Corruption bosses in the Brain of Cthulhu and the Eater of Worlds.

Ais literally gently grabbed my face as I stared off into the distance as I tried to with no success think of a way to kill those much stronger bosses. My eyes were all but forced to meet Ais's hard golden ones as she spoke softly. "You are thinking too much... What do you need to make that sword because I need it."

Ais didn't wrench my face around or anything but her gloved hands grabbing me out of my thoughts was a weird as hell thing to do... But then again so long as Ais was the one doing the motions, she had zero compunctions in throwing social ques out the door.

"Miss Ais there is no need to grab Jake's face!" Lefiya yelled building up steam.

But her building up tirade had its steam released as Ais just tilted her head to the side and replied dully. "I wanted an answer and Jake was too deep in thought. I didn't want him to forget my question."

More than one person face palmed at Ais's answer with myself just chuckling as I shook my head. "Yeah, sorry Ais I can't make the sword till I level up or something. The bosses we would need to kill are too dangerous for me at this time." I said frankly but Ais wasn't having it.

"But you can hide? You can zip across a battlefield or even teleport while stronger people fight them... What is the actual issue?" She asked pressing me with her usual lack of social tact making Tiona cringe as my face twitched with some irritation.

"Aiz lets let Jake go spawn the Monster Rex's for the newbies, they are looking antsy Haha!" Tiona laughed forcefully as she literally just threw Ais over her shoulder as she ran away with the blond beauty who held an arm out to me begging for salvation as the amazon ran off with her.

"Alright Lefiya if you end up fighting just be careful." I huffed as Bell quickly followed me as power walked away from the situation and towards the area that was designated for me to spawn the monsters.

As I got there, I saw Finn speaking with the blond elf member of Freya's Familia Hedin something.

"There you are Jake, are you ready?" Finn asked me as the Freya Executive shot me an imperceptible look I didn't understand while I told Finn I was ready. "Alright wonderful, we have taken some measures to give you some room to grapple hook away from the boss and more importantly when you do we want you to try to get fully away from the boss and see if it will instead focus on the other people in the vicinity so they can get the authentic boss experience." Finn explained and I hummed in thought.

"I mean I will try but this trick will probably only work on the King Slime and Desert Scourge boss. The next one's are just too damn big and have different senses then the last more normal bosses." Well as normal as a semi-truck sized slime could be anyway.

"Anyway, the Apollo Familia has paid a great price to fight the Desert Scrouge in particular as the first boss to be summoned here for all of Orario to watch remotely in the same style as a war game. Congratulations Jake you have ten million Valis sitting waiting for you back in Orario." Finn said shrugging as from the opposite of the field came a crowd of Apollo's lower-level adventurers.

"His captain isn't going to take part?" I asked drily seeing the level one and small squad of level two's standing together waiting for me to summon the boss.

"No... Apparently, he didn't deem it worthy of his time and that it was best for his weaker Familia members to fight the boss monster and earn a level up." Finn replied coldly and I looked over to Daphne Laurous Cassandra Llion and hoped they would survive this experience.

Especially Cassandra as she was a true seer, even if her predictions were always disbelieved for some contrived reason around her.

"Pity for them then." I muttered sighing but saving idiots from committing suicide wasn't my responsibility. To be an adventurer here in Danmachi was to walk with death and just because a group of level fives and above could slap these weak bosses around shouldn't give these fools such bravery. They needed a reminder of their place in other words.

With Finn giving the go ahead as the systems were in place in Orario to watch the coming battles I walked out alone into the middle of the field that was surrounded by woods that I was going to go hide within as soon as I summoned the boss.

As I got closer to Apollo's group, I saw Cassandra was a shaking mess and almost in tears making me sigh as I realized she may have 'seen' herself and the people around her dying... 'Well let's see if I can save another Heroine or two.' I thought wryly as I pulled out the Desert Medalion to summon the Desert Scrouge.

Hopes and dreams. Thats all I could see as the Desert Scourge announced its presence with a roar and although it tried to follow me through the thick forest that surrounded the clearing, but it lost me and thus obviously focused its all-consuming murderous fury on the Apollo adventurer's.

But just like hopes and dreams we all had to awaken from them.

Screams rang out as the Desert Scrouge showed the low leveled adventure's why even if level fives could kill it fairly easily. It was still a Monster Rex and thus far beyond humanity typically.

The spikes on the undulating body of the massive sandy brown centipede monster tore through flesh bone and armor alike if they weren't ultimately just flattened under the sheer mass that was the Desert Scourge as the monster rex was twice as thick as two elephants standing atop one another.

Even more pathetic was how their melee weapons broke upon his scaled body and only the few Apollo mages managing to get some distance to chant some spells to throw at it, made any headway in killing the Boss.

Seeing what had to be Apollo's high level two elf that had his face covered up with a scarf and had blond hair jump atop the Desert Scrouge and attempt to stab out its tiny eyes but only to end up shattering his longsword thrown up into the air and swallowed with one bite made me realize something very clearly.

People without the true strength and abilities of at least a Level three should just toss aside their delusions if they think they can take on the Desert Scrouge at least. Because Monster Rex's were horrors for a reason, only powerful magic or equally powerful adventures could hope to tear them apart to the point where their bodies failed and broke down allowing the extraction of their monster stone.

"Filthy beast you have done enough!" I heard a male voice roar and even the Desert Scrouge whirled onto the person speaking as it went to devour a pallum who was straight up just running away from the boss.

Hyakinthos Clio the Captain of the Apollo Familia finally strode into the fray and like I thought before only he with his actually well forged sword were capable of fighting the Desert Scrouge somewhat evenly as he had the pure physical strength to break through the boss's scales.

Then as Hyakinthos tore apart the monster systematically with grace, he seemingly tired of the trying to meet the much more physically powerful monster in a dance of melee and having to constantly dodge all the spikes on its sides, so he dodged to the side and dashed away before whirling on the Desert Scrouge as he quickly chanted. "My name is love, precious child of light. I offer my body to my sun. My name is sin, jealousy of wind. I call a gust of wind to my body. Released ring of fire - Come, wind of the west!"

A large ring of pure light, no condensed solid flames formed beside Hyakinthos and as the Desert Scrouge attempted to eat Hyakinthos along with digging under the ground to continue chasing the other Applo members, Hyakinthos sent the ring of fire into the Desert Scrouge's mouth before dashing away.

"Phoebus's Light!" He roared and the apparently swallowed ring of fire violently exploded blowing off the massive jaws of the Desert Scrouge who screamed an ear-piercing wailing noise as it suddenly whipped to and for in agony, and I grimace as one of the spikes on the side of the Desert Scrouge literally shot off like a missile and slammed through Hyakinthos leaving a basketball sized gaping hole in his upper chest and I knew the man was dead.

"Guess these bosses do have an enraged state." I grimaced as I dashed back towards the fight as honestly the Apollo Familia had failed this event. They were arrogant and didn't set up a proper fighting formation and they didn't even come to me for information on the entity.

If Hyakinthos actually fought at the beginning of the battle and allowed Apollo's dozens of magics to pepper the boss and with the help of that more agile elf and Cassandra who literally had a spell that gave her the speed of an upper level three they could have easily kited the monster to death.

I came swinging in on my grappling hook tearing me through the tree line and as soon I hit the ground, I took advantage of my Hermes boots to lay a hail of laser bolts from my Space Guns in my hands as with my armor they literally took no mana from me.

The Desert Scrouge seeing me screeched in primal fury as it locked onto to me. It didn't even bother dipping into the ground. No like a snake and a centipede combined it slithered and crawled over the ground in a desperate bit to end my life in the quickest way possible.

I just kept shooting the boss in the face before it got to close and then I hoped into the air, grapple hooking onto the hard scale covered back of the boss which dragged me over his head as he rose up to eat me. And once I was in the air, I threw three sticks of lit dynamite into its mouth before using another grappling hook to snag onto a nearby tree and drag me away as the Desert Scrouge snapped at me in the middle of the air.

I rolled across the ground as the second grappling hook was not at all a clean hook and I ended up getting snagged on some stuff before I detached it. But as I jumped back to my feet and faced the Desert Scrouge prepared to keep moving, I laid witness to its head violently exploding into a bloody mess as chitin and scales went everywhere as the three sticks of dynamite had more than enough force to blow off its lower section of its head where the dynamite landed in his gullet.

Then it faded into ashes as a soft thump rang out in unison as cloth bags landed at the majority of the Apollo members feet along with my own...

'Man, the people without bags got to feel devastated as even Cassandra who only had a couple healing spells got a bag which was good to note.' I thought wryly as I picked up my bag and strode towards literally the only level twos seemingly in Apollo's Familia in Cassanda Llion the Seer, and her minder Daphne Lauros.

"Are you two the only level Two's left in Apollo's Familia?" I asked rather bluntly, and Cassandra just stared me flabbergasted so I almost waved in her face before her minder Daphne spoke up.

"Forgive my friend she is just... In shock as well as being close to mind down due to all the healing she did... But yes, it seems we are the last as Hyakinthos won't survive that wound even with the Dea Saint's efforts." Daphne spoke softly as Airmid Teasanare and the other healers of the Dian-Chet Familia took this opportunity to try to drag people from the grips of death for their own Falna growth.

"How are we still alive... I saw us die! I knew we were to die just then!" Cassandra began blubbering and I gave her a look as I eyed Daphne who didn't expect her friend to spill the beans.

"Little seer, not even the gods know the concrete future. It is literally infinite possibilities and not even the gods of time itself, know what will happen in the infinite number of possible futures." I patted Cassandra on her black hair covered head bringing her out of her panic attack.

"Fate is what you make of it. Sure, you must face the inevitable destiny brought moments as an Adventure. But nothing says you cannot best it, overturn it, or otherwise cheat it. Like I broke your future of death that you saw. If I did not interfere, no one else would have and thus you would have died. But I did and now you are alive and will face countless other destined moments." I said and her eyes dilated as she softly nodded in my direction not really focusing on me though.

"I would get her out of the way... Things are likely to get ugly." I muttered to Daphne as I saw Apollo stomping towards me furiously.

"You! How dare you! Look at the state of my Familia do you have any Herk!" As Apollo grabbed the front of my armor, I noticed how it didn't burn his hands which made sense with how he was a god of the sun. But I wasn't going to be jerked around by some asshole so with a lunge I headbutted the shit out of the god with my helmet covered head.

Apollo's head snapped back at my abrupt head butt, and I made sure to actually hit his own forehead and not shatter his nose or anything. Despite how Apollo was scum I didn't want the death of a god hanging on my shoulders.

"Don't fucking touch me, you pathetic worm. Your arrogance has destroyed years of growth for your Familia with so many deaths because your Captain wanted to sit on his ass and not even fight properly. Hell, you fuckwits didn't even ask me. The damned creator and summoner of the Monster Rex's capabilities!" I snarled in disbelief at the idiocy of the god.

Apollo unsteadily got back to his feet while he held onto his head, and he pointed at me in just apparently just a much disbelief as I was in at him. "You dare strike me! I will ruin you! I Phoebus Apollo declare a War Game upon the Seshat Familia for your insult!" He screeched and I idly debated the cost of being cursed by the god if I put a sword through his throat.

But in the end as the other Familia's who came to watch battle approached obviously paying great attention to this event I spoke dryly. "And what Familia will you challenge me with? A couple level two's? Why does that seem like such a joke Apollo."

I then turned to all the adventure's that surrounded us as Apollo slumped in place as he was well aware that Daphne couldn't beat me nor was Cassandra a threat at all with how timid she was.

"Adventurer's of Orario hear me! These Monster Rex's are not a joke. They are not a status symbol or something you can shrug off. These are monsters that are worthy for you to level up with... Thus, such a challenge is more than capable of reaping your lives if you treat this a joke." I spoke loudly with many of the more savy experienced adventurers nodding their heads in agreement, but such people were already level two or three, not the newbie level ones who treated monster killing as a bit of a side gig or something.

I then stared down Apollo who had stood back up. "This is a dangerous event far more lethal than any Wargame. Should you continue your claim I will finish your Familia in any case." I said before dismissively looking away from him, to the next Familia on the list of people who wanted to test their might.

"Takemikazuchi Familia, are you ready?" I asked looking to their captain Ouka who nodded hefting his large great axe behind himself.

"Yes, we will be fighting the King Slime monster and we have made plans to deal with it safely in a controlled manner. But do you have any advice Jake?" Ouka proudly spoke and I smiled as Takemikazuchi was a friend of Hestia, so I didn't mind helping them out with some advice.

"Beware once you deal a good bit of harm to him, he will become enraged jumping around much faster than usual and will shake off its acidic gel to land on you and such a fate of being covered in metal melting acid will not be pretty." I said with utmost seriousness.

Ouka nodded and everyone dispersed with the Takemikazuchi Familia staying to fight the next boss, but the crowd were kind enough to help with dragging the Apollo Familia corpses off the field so no one would trip over them or something.

"This isn't over Jake Bariss. There will be a reckoning for your failure to help or warn us." Apollo snarled and I looked over him one final time before I came to a conclusion.

"Alright Apollo. Fuck you and your Familia. I in the name of my goddess Seshat accept your War Game. I will see you at the Guild to formalize the details later today at sundown." I said strongly as I eyed Apollo. I was literally done with this degenerate red headed stepchild.

"Dammit Apollo!" Daphne hissed as she stomped over at hearing my declaration and in the middle of all of Orario watching remotely the crimson haired beauty grabbed Apollo and dragged the god away by his ear.

After getting the King Slime summoned, watching the Takemikazuchi Familia take care of it was a completely different experience from how the Apollo Familia dealt with the Desert Scourge. Because the Takemikazuchi Familia was a Familia that lived and breathed in the dungeon whereas despite the Apollo Familia having dozens more members, they were trash who only got the bare minimum letter requirement before leveling up by killing a minotaur or an infant dragon in a party.

First, they corralled the King Slime with Ouka carefully herding it away from Mikoto who at the moment of the Monster Rex coming into being, began chanting while her teammates used long bows to strike the boss with my own arrows, so they didn't just melt in the potent acid within the slime's body.

"I respectfully speak to you, my War God that can break through anything, lead me from the precious heaven. Give my petty body, divine power of your grand body. Rescue them light of purification, sword of crushing evil. Sweep sword of suppression, sacred sword of conquest. It arrives here now by my order. Descend from heaven, rule the earth - Shinbu Tousei!" She chanted yelling at the end as a pure black magical pillar captured the King Slime and squashed it flat under its crushing gravity magic that filled the pillar.

"Use the explosive bolts!" Ouka yelled as he pulled his own long bow off his back the half dozen supporters and other adventurers switched to alchemical bolts.

Then the King Slime once the height of a semi tuck was compressed to the point of only being as thick as a cinderblock and with each explosive arrow that collided with it its flesh was blasted apart until the King Slime died under Mikoto's powerful gravity spell.

While I stood in the tree line with Bell beside me watching the fight, Finn came over to me. "Well Jake got any idea's after seeing a weaker Familia properly deal with a Monster Rex?" He asked and I shrugged.

"Yeah, hook up to the roof of the dungeon in Riveria where it cannot jump that high and then just drop bombs on it, until it dies." I answered cheerfully and the Pallum snorted at my cowardly answer but in the end he shrugged.

"I suppose that's one way to level up. The Falna cares more for the success of a challenge then how difficult you make the challenge in any case. Thats how Perseus, or Hermes's Asfi Andromeda reached level four by bombing monster rex's to death after much preparation." Finn spoke candidly.

"So, Finn. Why are you here. Did you come to speak with me about Apollo's little challenge that I answered?"

Finn sighed nodding. "Look Jake, the Loki Familia can't be seeing interfering as that would be considered the highest degree of bullying with them only having some level two's and-"

Before he continued, I cut him off. "Finn, I do not fear Apollo little collection, whatever challenge the Denatus gives between our Familia's, I will win outrightly, or their Familia will not survive challenging me as I drop another Monster Rex on them." I said bluntly and Finn face palmed shaking his head.

"Well tamed monsters haven't been outlawed for use in War Games so Monster Rex's... Yeah, I imagine they will allow you to abuse such a thing for the first fool to challenge you so they can have cause to outlaw it due to you not having control over them." Finn said shrugging as that was the politics of Orario.

In the midst of the cheers of the Takemikazuchi as they happily took their goodie bags from killing the bosses Bell finally spoke as she had gone silent after the deaths of the Apollo members. "Jake please don't just kill all the Apollo members. I mean Apollo is obviously a terrible person and should be sent back to Tenkai or something."

Finn just snorted shaking his head. "Well, I said my piece. The guild has your cut of today's earnings also I wanted to warn you about something personally Jake." Finn's face both a cut of grim and wry as he continued to speak.

"Heith Velvet the Golden Witch, or Vana Mardel, of Freya's Familia who was helping the Dian Chet Familia with healing has been asking a lot of question about you and your Familia. Where you fight in the dungeon, your interests, how people can get into your tower to access your shop. Just a lot of questions to a number of people... This isn't Freya herself doing something, no this is Heath up to something." He warned me and then he nodded to me and Bell as he walked away.

'It's just never one thing alone now is it.' I thought sighing as I gave Bell a side hug making her squeak in surprise, but I paid her surprised noises no care as I refueled on Bell's cute energy.

"Alright there four more Familia's needing a boss. So why don't you go back to Orario and get my goddess to the Guild so she can get this War Game going." Before she could say anything, I put a finger to her lips silencing her. "Bell there's nothing for you to do here and I can tell you need to clear your head... This was the first time you saw people die right?" I asked and Bell bit her lips before nodding softly so I just pulled her head against my chest as I patted her head.

"Bell being an adventurer is a path that walks with death. I cannot comfort you and say this is never going to happen again nor are you not going to directly take someone's life, as its perfectly possible you may have to. Especially if they challenge your Familia to a War Game." I spoke softly as I brushed my hands over Bell's head to comfort her before taking a step back from her as she pouted.

"Now go on. Hestia and Seshat need you to escort them to the Guild to pick up all the money we made." I said trying to cheer her up with the millions of Valis we made today.

"Alright Jake I will." Bell nodded and then just like the rabbit everyone called her with her looks, she ran off almost literally bouncing as she dashed back to Orario faster than the trots of the horses that brought us here.
