Gabriel pov

A lion's roar, that was as close to the truth that I could get. The roar sounded like a lion and something else… something ethereal mixed in. I felt my body shake at the pressure the beast exuded.

But nothing more than that. It was like listening to a particularly angry toddler. Sure you cringed at their cries but you knew that you could just manhandle them. And that was what I did.

I flipped above the beast's head and onto its back. The mane of fur protected it as well as a suit of armor made of the finest metals. But my spear found purchase. One last roar and the beast came tumbling down.

The muscles in its legs gave out as the brain stopped giving direction. The weight, once supported by muscles and magic, now fell to the floor and kicked up a suitable barrage of dust.
