Chapter 3: The Beautiful Boss

Ye Sha rode his small electric scooter onto the road. The sun was shining brightly, making it quite hot. Even though it was the lunchtime rush hour, there weren't many cars on the road. Perhaps some residents were staying indoors due to fear of the anomalies.

"What's the point of hiding? Wasn't I attacked at home last night?" Ye Sha sighed. He understood the residents' choices; they were all trying to protect themselves. However, this world filled with anomalies was terrifying, unpredictable, and could appear anywhere.

Lost in thought, he arrived at his workplace. Parking his electric scooter, he headed for the elevator in the building. After graduating from university, he couldn't find a job in his field. Due to his passion for fitness, he had applied here and surprisingly got the job.

The gym was quite large with a high level of professionalism. The quality and ability of the coaching team were good, making it a serious place. Since the anomalies appeared, some office workers stopped going to work and felt cooped up at home. Exercising at the gym became a way to relax and relieve stress, so the gym's business was booming. With Ye Sha's appearance and skills, he naturally performed well.

After clocking in, Ye Sha entered the gym. Some colleagues who were teaching waved at him, greeting him. Standing at the counter was a stunning woman, tall with a slender waist, exuding allure. She was wearing a sports jacket and yoga pants, her beautiful legs and curvy figure captivating.

She was the gym's boss, Liu Yu Ning!

Ye Sha felt a bit awkward, covering his face as he tried to head to the locker room. He didn't dare to face this beautiful boss. For some reason, she always teased him. It wasn't that he didn't like beautiful women, but because Boss Liu was too dominant; he couldn't handle it!

"Are you avoiding me again? Am I that scary?" A mature voice came from behind, making Ye Sha halt in embarrassment. He adjusted his expression and turned around with a smile, "No, I just wanted to quickly get to my post since I missed this morning."

"Oh, so responsible?" Liu Yu Ning walked over, her gaze fixed on Ye Sha's eyes, clearly not believing him.

Ye Sha looked at her dazzlingly beautiful face and nodded guiltily.

"Come to my office," the boss ordered. As an employee, Ye Sha naturally complied, following her to the office.

Walking behind her, Ye Sha accidentally glanced at her, feeling his blood boil. Suppressing his unhealthy thoughts, he noticed his unusual reactions. He'd never felt such strong desires before. If not for his rationality, he would've acted on them!

"Is this the aftermath of being a werewolf? How terrifying!" Ye Sha quickly looked at the ceiling to distract himself from his thoughts.

Liu Yu Ning had no idea about Ye Sha's feelings and thought he was just shy. She found it amusing to tease him and even recruited him because she had some positive feelings towards him initially.

Entering the office, Liu Yu Ning sat in her boss chair and motioned for Ye Sha to sit.

"So, what's wrong with you? Do you need to take a sick day?" She asked with concern.

"I'm much better, just caught a slight cold from the air conditioning." Ye Sha replied, surprised he wasn't reprimanded. After all, it was his first time skipping work in a year.

"Recently, there have been more anomalies in Jiangyang City. How about you don't go home and stay at the company?" Liu Yu Ning suggested, not joking.

Their gym was located in a bustling commercial area, right opposite the police station, which sounded reassuring.

"I appreciate your concern, Boss, but where would I stay at the company?" Ye Sha chuckled. Having experienced the chase by anomalies himself, he knew regular people couldn't handle them, and having the police around wouldn't help.

"Upstairs, there are plenty of empty rooms in my place..." Liu Yu Ning flirted playfully.

Not only was she the gym's boss, but she also owned the entire floor above as her residence. She was quite the wealthy and attractive woman!

Ye Sha was caught off guard and stammered, "That... wouldn't be appropriate, right?"

"Hahaha!"

Liu Yu Ning burst into laughter, clearly amused by Ye Sha's embarrassed demeanor. He was quite innocent.

Ye Sha's eyes briefly wandered, who wouldn't be captivated by her swaying beauty? Suppressing his rising desire, he averted his gaze.

"Alright, no more jokes. The internet company on this floor has shut down, freeing up space. I've decided to turn it into employee dorms. You can move in and save some money!"

The gym's floor originally housed an internet company. Perhaps after the anomalies appeared, all the employees left, causing the company to shut down.

"Okay... I'll consider it," Ye Sha didn't immediately agree. After all, he had a secret he couldn't reveal, and he needed to think things through.

Liu Yu Ning wasn't pleased with Ye Sha's response and was about to persuade him further when an urgent knock came from outside the office. Receptionist Xiao Liu was shouting.

"Sister Liu, something's happened!"
