Chapter 2: What's happening to me?

In the morning, Cripple woke up and was surprised to see himself in his bed. "Was it a dream?", he asked himself a question. He had all the film in his memory but now he was happy that nothing had happened to him. "Huu.....",he sensed his breath. "It was a real nightmare, but anyways thank God I am alive."

He noticed he was late for school and hurried to prepare so that he would not be caught by time.

"Son, hurry up and have your breakfast"

As he heard his mothers call, he rushed from upstairs to have breakfast with his mom. "You are late for today. ",his mother complained. Cripple promised to watch out next time.

Despite the nightmare,Cripple seemed to be happy and this was evidenced mirroring through his face.

Cripple's mother while stealing glances at him noticed the look on his face. " It seems you are in a good mood today." Cripple wondered why her mother had to say this , "Really?" He asked. His mother instead burst into laughter. This urged Cripple to look around his body to see if there was something funny on him but he noticed there was nothing. He wondered why her mother had to laugh at him.

"I think she's teasing me." As his eyes reflected the emotional turmoil developing in his mind. "Oh gosh, time is against me.Bye mom."

He remembered that he had to go to school.He picked up his bag and left the house while singing a song.It was the song that he used to enjoy while he was still young.As his mother saw him happy a glee rumored on her face making her cast a soft smile,she didn't believe it that his son was happy for the first time in his life.

Cripple was a mystery when at school . Everyone feared him when it came to ICT skills. This is because he once saved the school against a certain harker by just using a school computer. He usually negotiated with teachers and emerged as the best .

Today, no one could define the look on Cripple's face because none of them had ever seen him happy in such a way. This day already became the greatest day in his life.

For every activity he performed , he did it with a high level of determination which made everyone around him wonder what happened to him.Apart from being the greatest day of his life,it was also the shortest of all .

All the days were like a nightmare to him and he usually played for them to end but they still lasted . Today he wished at least it would last longer but it couldn't as it was already time to leave school.

On his way back home,he heard someone from his back.

"Where do you think you are going, you little bastard ."Cripple knew that the bullies were back.He kept quiet and continued moving.

"So you think you will escape easily like that?",he said this as he came closer to Cripple.

On approaching him,he pushed him backwards forcing him into a fight.He did this knowingly that Cripple was so weak that even he couldn't defend himself.Cripple today decided to end all this and gathered up all the hunger to fight this bully .

When the bully came close again to attack Cripple.He raised a blow but it couldn't reach Cripple.He only saw it stopping in air like there was a magnetic force repelling it from reaching Cripple.

Cripple himself couldn't also understand what was going on but took it as a chance to simulate by asking the bully or he had seen his strength.He continued,"you know , that's just the little I can do but next time I will make sure that you atleast cry."

He survived the blow but in a real sense he had done nothing towards what happened to the bully. "Wait, how did this happen? Rather I don't have to care about all this ,thank God I survived today."He continued with his way back home.

On reaching home his eyes were straight to his angry mother."Come, tell me when you started this habit." Cripple wondered about the habit his mother was talking about because he had never drunk alcohol or smoked and if not this, then what?

He went in to see the habit his mother was talking about.In his room he found his mother with the pendant in her hands."Now tell me when you started stealing!" As she continued with the blame, Cripple couldn't get his eyes off the pendant.

"Now you mean you will still say nothing about all this!" The reality was, Cripple heard all her mom was telling him but his mind was puzzled with how this pendant got into his room."Mom I can explain." He disingenuously made the statement even though he had nothing to say.

"Ok,I know that you are not a bad person so I will allow you to explain." As the mother said all this, fear could not stop developing in Cripple's mind but still decided to say something which he was not sure was the best, "Mom, the truth is that:I don't know how that pendant got into my room beca----" She didn't allow him to complete the statement, " Now you think I will believe in you after giving such a childish excuse. Now let's decide on one thing, I will keep the pendant until I find its owner but trust me I will have to punish you for this."

Cripple didn't fear the punishments or any other thing but the only thing that stressed him this time was how the pendant got into his room while he last saw it in a dream .

"Maybe it's a serious case now, since I had that worst dream, my life is changing suddenly without alertness but causing a lot of catastrophes on my side." After saying these words, curiosity to find out what was happening to him raised.

"Firstly, I am going to start with getting that pendant from that lady's hands and from it I will find out what is going on with me." This was a mission which required Cripple to lay a plan that could help him get to the pendant without her mother noticing.

He knew he had to find the possible places where he sought his mother would keep the pendant. There were five places he knew his mother used to keep his precious things so he had to wait for his mother to leave home and check them out.

The good thing is, his mother left because she usually worked till midnight .Cripple saw it was a good chance to look for the pendant if possible around all the apartment. Starting from her mother's room, he looked in every corner but could find nothing like a pendant.

"Oh , wait now I know where the pendant is." he said this as he headed upstairs where they always kept used up things. It was full of dust but Cripple decided to bear all that finally to land on the pendant.

He had looked for the pendant for about 2 hours but still he got nothing. "Wait", he thought of something and right away he left the house.

He ran all the way to meet his two friends Lucas and Marcus who knew almost every place in the city. He found the two looking like they were up to something. This is because at the moment they saw him . They started whispering to each other. "What is going on with you guys?", he asked the two but intentionally no one responded.

He knew something was wrong so he started to develop negative thoughts that maybe her mother had already informed them about what happened so he tested, "Let me hope you know what happened but none of all that is right. "

Marcus wondered why he had to say all that."No, we know nothing about you." ,he responded. "Now tell me why you have to look at me like that, it's like I have committed a crime." The two friends knew that Cripple wasn't in a good mood so they decided to cancel their plans of teasing him and turn to help him solve the problem he had.

"Now , let's leave all that aside and tell us why you are here?", Lucas asked. Cripple explained to them everything they agreed to help him to find the pendant. He tasked them to watch over his mother so that they would notice where she could have kept the pendant.

The best day of his life turned out to be one of the worst days he has ever faced in his life.Resting on his bed, a lot of questions arise in his mind but the key question was about what was happening to him .

No matter how deeply he was depressed, he found himself sleeping. While sleeping, his soul was taken again and found himself in the same place he was when the pendant was given to him.
