Fate/Zero

Lu Wei is an ordinary high school sophomore, and also an art student.

He dreams of becoming a manga artist, so he constantly buys manga to study the storytelling techniques of famous artists.

At least, that's what he tells his parents.

The real reason? He just thinks manga is fun to read.

"Too bad the Porter hasn't released any new manga lately," Lu Wei sighed.

Though "Naruto" and "Bleach" were still ongoing and very enjoyable, he wanted something new. This is the classic case of wanting more when you already have a lot.

"Even the Porter is slacking off."

Remembering how the Porter used to update multiple manga at once, Lu Wei felt like his youth was slipping away. The Porter used to update four or five manga simultaneously, but now it was down to just two.

Thinking this, he randomly scrolled through the Porter's Weibo and got hooked by a new post that he couldn't look away from.

The post was simple: "Two new works coming soon. Please support them."

Below the text were two posters.

The first poster had a somber and solemn tone.

In the center was a blonde woman riding a black motorcycle, dressed in a black suit. She looked like a young girl, but exuded a heroic aura.

Behind her, a white-haired, red-eyed beauty and a dark-haired, brooding man stood back-to-back, forming a complete picture. At the top were the words "Fate/Zero."

The second poster had a warmer feel.

Two girls in maid outfits were pressed together face to face, one with pink hair, the other with blue, both smiling at Lu Wei.

The title was quite long: "Re- Starting Life in Another World."

"Two new works at once?"

Looking at the Porter's Weibo, Lu Wei felt excited and expectant.

Of course, he was excited. The girls in these posters were stunning.

The characters perfectly matched the tastes of fans.

White stockings, maids, and double the joy!

And the stylish woman in a suit, along with the white-haired, red-eyed beauty.

The characters were drawn beautifully, with exquisite details. Lu Wei could hardly describe how he felt seeing these posters. It was like the characters came to life.

If he had to describe his feelings... he had found his favorites!

"After waiting for months, finally new manga!"

Many fans felt the same excitement when they saw the news.

Though "Bleach" and "Naruto" were still ongoing, those were old series. Games and TV shows were good, but they were really fans of the Porter's manga.

"Two days left! Everyone, show your support! I'm buying just for the maids!"

"I think the blonde fits my taste more!"

"I hope Picca starts making motorcycles. That bike the girl is riding looks amazing!"

Many readers were eagerly anticipating what these new manga stories would be about.

Soon, New Releases from Picca Comics

Impatient, Lu Wei immediately opened the new manga titled "Fate/Zero."

A castle stood deep within a forest.

"The child is born!"

With the joyful cries of a maid, a man who had been bowing his head finally relaxed his tense hands.

In the bedroom, the man stood by the bed, smiling at the beautiful, noble woman holding a baby girl.

"Is this finally a story set in a non-cruel world?" Seeing the warm scene, Lu Wei felt relieved.

Though he enjoyed "Tokyo Ghoul" and "Attack on Titan," the constant dark themes were a bit heavy.

This warm scene was a nice change.

But...

Could this child be the woman riding the motorcycle? Seeing the white-haired woman, Lu Wei was confused.

He had seen this couple in the poster, but the woman riding the motorcycle had blonde hair, not white. Clearly, they were not the same person.

Just as Lu Wei thought this might be a warm story, the couple's next words stunned him.

"Airi, I..." The man hesitated, then softly said to the white-haired woman on the bed, "I will one day, put you to death."

The woman, Airi, remained calm and nodded, "I know. This is the wish of the Einzbern family. I exist for this purpose."

After this exchange, Lu Wei and many fans had a lot of questions.

What was going on? Just a moment ago, it was a warm scene, and now the man was talking about killing his wife?

Could it be...

Lu Wei's eyes lit up, and a bold idea came to his mind.

Could it be that the man kills his wife, and then their daughter grows up seeking revenge against her father? And during this time, she becomes a rebellious teenager and dyes her white hair blonde?

Holding onto this idea, Lu Wei continued reading.

Soon, the main characters of the story appeared one by one: the fifth head of the Tohsaka family, Tokiomi; the representative of the Holy Church, Kirei; a lecturer from the Clock Tower's Summoning Department, Kayneth; the heir of the Matou family, Kariya; a student from the Clock Tower, Waver; and the mage killer, Kiritsugu.

To obtain the Holy Grail, which grants miracles, seven mages as Masters summon seven Servants, starting a battle to the death—the Holy Grail War.

Mages, heroic spirits, Masters, Servants—Lu Wei could sense a complete magical world being gradually unveiled. The intricate character designs and innovative settings, along with the refined artwork, made Lu Wei feel he had found true love.

As a fan of "Fullmetal Alchemist," although the main plot of this new work had yet to unfold, Lu Wei felt the same excitement as when he first started following "Fullmetal Alchemist."
