Words And Actions

Elena craned her neck to Gabriel's side before she turned and lay on her back. Her eyes found the ceiling in the darkness, but from the corner of her eyes, she could see Gabriel's golden ones shining in the darkness. Curious, she looked at his side.

He looked like a firefly in a pit of darkness, the only source of light in the room.

"Your eyes are beautiful," she admitted when she had stared long enough. Strangely, she hadn't drowned in his tempting eyes as usual.

"You haven't slept a wink," Gabriel pointed. He was curled in the bed in a foetal position. "Is something bothering you?"

Elena averted her eyes from him and stared back at the ceiling. "I met with the queen today."

She heard Gabriel move at the mention of it. He sat on the headboard, his eyes shining even more brighter than when he was lying.

"And?" He asked, his eyes focused on Elena. Did she know how she looked otherworldly with her hair sprawled on the bed, and a hand resting on her stomach. He had to admit she was close to a sleeping goddess.

"She told me...," Elena swallowed the lump in her throat which had Gabriel raise a brow. "She told me that I'm supposed to bring forth heirs!" The words left her mouth as fast as she had thought of speaking them, and the silence that followed didn't make it any easier for her.

"I think she's right," Gabriel pointed, sarcasm laced in his voice. "I'm certain you're familiar with the procedure," he added with a smirk.

'He's unbelievable!' Elena thought, rolling her eyes in the darkness. She was glad hers were not glowing otherwise Gabriel would have easily spotted her.

"I am," Elena decided to play along.

Gabriel smirked, amused by his wife's playfulness. "And when did my wife get to familiarize herself with this procedure?" He asked, now leaning closer.

Elena met with his eyes. "I'm an adventurous woman," she teased, a decision she'd regret minutes later.

"Why don't we try something adventurous tonight?" He asked, his voice drawn to a whisper. Elena wanted to retort but he gave her one of his spellbinding gaze which turned her speechless.

And as if he had read her mind, he placed his finger on her lips. "Hush now. You don't want the ghosts to find out, do you?"

Elena shook her head slightly without knowing what she was even consenting to. With his eyes glowing, he looked irresistible! He moved in the dark and before she knew it, his hands were wrapped around her waist.

He moved expertly, worshipping her curves with his hands. Her round hips especially turned his hunger into another level.

Elena tracked her breath, now drowning in his eyes as he moved northwards until his cold fingers rested on her neck. A shiver run down her spine making her shudder.

"You are cold!" She managed to say.

"All vampires are," Gabriel replied with a smile. "But I'm afraid it's becoming rather hot in here, don't you think so?"

Elena swallowed her tongue, unable to find the words. Gabriel seemed pleased by the effect he had on her.

"Look at me," he whispered in her ear, the simple action making her body react in an alien manner. And she moved despite the warning bells ringing in her mind. Now they were facing each other, in the darkness.

Strangely, she never felt the darkness around her, but his glowing eyes made her feel safe. Her heart was no longer racing in fear but in anticipation. And for the first time, she was certain what she felt whenever she got lost in those golden orbs.

"What do you see when you look in my eyes?" His lips moved, their magic clouding Elena's judgement in every aspect.

Her eyes settled on his lips first, the pink on them astounding. Involuntarily, her fingers traced his lips, softly caressing them. The scene of their first kiss replayed in her mind.

She moved to his sharp nose, tracing it edge with her fingers. Strangely, he was no longer cold like before. Her hand rested on his cheeks, pinning the details of his outline in her fingertips.

All this time, Gabriel Sinclair remained unmoving like a docile child. His thoughts were fixated on this brave human girl. He'd hoped she'd run away but this! He felt her hands reach for his eyes. She bored her blue ones in his, and for a fleeting couple of seconds, he saw himself in her eyes. She removed the stray strands of his hair from his face.

"What I see when I look into your eyes," her lips started moving, and with it Gabriel's sanity, "is something I cannot explain with words."

"I'm afraid actions can," Gabriel replied, and as like a moth drawn to a fire, he moved close, his lips slightly brushing against Elena's. She closed her eyes briefly as if she had anticipated what would happen.

His hands found their way to her back and tugged her closer. His warm breath mixed with hers in the cold night, but when their lips locked, the world disappeared out of their sight.

It started slow before turning to a heated kiss, that blew Elena to a bliss. Their tongues locked, her hands on Gabriel's head. She was certain she wanted him as much as he wanted her!

He effortlessly rolled her on the bed and came on top without breaking from the kiss all the while. And how could he? Their tongues entwined as if made for each other. It was moments like this when Gabriel forgot who he was, letting the beast that resided in him take control.

He'd been able to control it for a while but Elena was not making it any easier for him. If only this would last forever. Damn! She tasted close to heaven's ambrosia! And as much as he wanted to stop, he found himself digging deeper for something he had no knowledge of. But all he knew was he had to find it.

He hungrily sucked Elena's lips, slowly advancing towards her neck. His warm breath against Elena's skin completely shut her mind! She held his hair tight she was afraid she'd hurt him.

Gabriel gave her neck more attention that it alarmed Elena. She felt his claws pierce through her back, pain suddenly engulfing her every nerve in a fresh spasm. Her wound had started bleeding!

Her heart raced in fear when Gabriel had buried his every nook and cranny on her neck, hungrily sucking her there as if she was his next meal. What if... She had to stop him before he would do something dangerous!

"Gabriel?" She called, but Gabriel only sucked harder. And when she felt a pair of fangs graze her skin, the world momentarily ceased existing for her.

"Gabriel? Please stop!" She begged when he pinned her hands above her head. His thoughts were charred, and the only thing he saw now was the vein on her neck!

"Gabriel? It's me, your wife," she made her last desperate move when Gabriel bent to suck her dry!
