Eighty-Six:

Somewhere

I was sitting along the shore as I let my feet wash by the tiny waves. I just stare at the horizon as if waiting for something to light up although I knew nothing will come and I'm just wasting time.

As the ocean calmly waves, questions suddenly pops up into my head.

'Where am I?'

'How long I stayed here?'

'What am I doing before going here?'

Too many questions I couldn't answer that is why I just let myself stay here sitting in silence as I watch the shore waves calmly through my feet.

And my last question to myself…

'Who am I?'

Earth

"Good morning Earth!"

My eyes suddenly wide open in surprised and I couldn't figure out what happened to me.

"Hey!"

"Ch-Chadd?!" I stammered seeing him standing next to me.

"Go away!" he said to one of our classmate and that's the only time I finally notice I'm at the school.

"Why am I here?" I asked out of the blue.

"Jeanne!" Chadd tap my shoulder. "I think you need to go to infirmary."

"Ha?" that's the only time I finally learned I'm having a fever right at this moment but then, how this things happened to me? I don't remember how I manage to get to school and end up having a fever. I just have no clue.

Infirmary

"What is going on with you, Jeanne?" Chadd asked me so seriously.

I sighed heavily before I answer. "There's nothing going on with me. It's just that, I think I lost some of my memories."

"What are you talking about?" he surprisingly answered as he stared at me so intently.

"I… I can't remember what happened to me before going here." I seriously answered.

"And you didn't tell that to our doctor?"

"Because I'm not so sure to myself if I really lost my memories or maybe I'm just too––" I suddenly remember one thing that made me to paused what I'm saying.

"Hey! You were just what?"

I blink my eyes twice as I look at him straight in his eyes. It took me longer before I finally realize I can do something that will make me to remember.

"Asim." I spoke out the name I wanted to summon and for an instant he came without a doubt.

"Jeanne!" his surprised stares really proves me I summoned him right.

"What is happening to me?" I straightly asked him without going around the circle and added quickly. "After drinking the water that was given by… I don't remember his name but I knew who he is. Anyways, it doesn't matter, because after drinking it I lost some of my memories at my waking life so what was that?!"

"You!" it was clearly written through Asim face, he was stunned knowing I could still remember what I just did when we last talk but the only problem is that I couldn't remember the things I did at my waking life.

"Don't say a word about that!" I warned him.

"No! This can't be happening!" he exclaimed. "You should not remember about––"

"I said don't say a word about that, okay!" I said cutting him off. "And besides, that is not the reason why I summoned you. I just badly want to know why there is a time loop at my waking day. What happened?" I seriously asked as I stare at him so intently my eyes getting hurt which made me blink and things goes blank.

…

"Here you go again!"

I heard my sister's voice making me to open my eyes after blinking just once.

"The hell!"

"Hey! That's bad!" she exclaimed. "Anyway! What was you were saying?" she asked but to my surprised I don't know anything about what I was saying to her.

'The hell with this time loop!' I silently shouted out loud to myself before taking a deep breath just to calm myself. "I… I forgot!" I lied. "So, please, will you leave me alone now?"

"Huh! After calling me as if the Earth was about to end then you'll just kick me out!"

"Come on! I wouldn't do such thing!"

"Yeah! Because you already did!"

"Gosh!" 'I don't even remember a thing!' I wanted to speak out loud but choose not to. "Alright! Just go okay!" Paloma intently stare at me and it was hard for me to ignore it because it's too fierce it may kill. "Alright! You win! Sorry! I'm just a bit lost that is why I easily forgot what I just said."

"You already told me that."

I was surprised hearing what she just answered. "Are… I mean, I just said that?"

"Yes. It was the last sentence you just told me. And I cannot answer it or maybe, you just need to record your time so that you will know what you were losing at. Just a suggestion." She said as she shrugs off. "Anyway, I'll leave you alone now and please! Don't shout if you want something to say, fortunately we are the only ones in the house. If mom and dad are at home, they will definitely be angry with you for your unusual reaction." She said before leaving me hanging from what I just learned.

'Damn it! What is going on with me? This is hard!'

Dream World

"Are you sure she still remembers?"

"Yes, although she already forgot the name of Almos."

"Still, she remembers."

"And she's experiencing a time loop in her waking day."

"That I couldn't explain why it is happening."

"Is this the first time you've heard something like that?"

"Yes, it is."

"Then, what will happen to Jeanne?"

"What do you mean?" I asked and it seems Dione and Asim was surprised seeing me.

"What are you doing here?" It was Dione who asked.

"I already went to sleep after not solving the time loop happening to me." I simply answered although there's something serious about their reactions and whatever it was, I badly wanted to know what it is.
