The Warning

Chapter Ten:

"Then, I'll go around while I wait." I said after telling her the flowers that I wanted to pick and I clearly knew Shu Tokino knows the meaning behind those flowers.

Deciding of what kind of warning I should give to Haimon took me a lot of time and after a long time of thinking I finally remember the best way to alarm him was his wife's favorite hubby, her flowers. Since Shu Tokino is a florist and owns a shop, this is the best way to give him a message and the flowers that I choose means a lot.

I know he will prepare himself as soon as he gets it and it will be my time to finally defeat him. I will soon hold the Maiden's Grail no matter what. I will be the one to devour it.

"Those flowers." I suddenly gave interest to listen to Shu Tokino's companion of what she wanted to say, "you knew what it means, right?"

I couldn't stop myself not to smile because I already knew the will commented to it though I didn't expect what Shu Tokino answered to her companion.

"He had his reason." She said that really surprised me.

Reason… I silently scoffed. She was right, I had my reason. And that is…

"Really?" her companion answered. "Then, is he just giving it for just a warning or a threat?"

A warning or a threat? Well, it was both. And soon I know Haimon will clearly understand it. Quickly soon.

"Excuse me." Afterwards.

I turned around to look at her. "Is it done?" I politely asked her.

"Yes, it is." She answered with a smile. "Here it is." She said and then she handed me the bouquet I ordered.

"Uhm, this is wonderful." I excitedly said and I couldn't hide my excitement to send it to Haimon.

"I'm glad you like it."

"Thanks." I spoke. "Here's my payment and don't mention the change."

"But--"

"No buts," I cut her off. "I need to go. Thank you for this." I said before I leave and immediately went in to my car waiting at the front.

"What a surprised! You've bought flowers."

"What are you doing here?" I coldly asked her.

"I'll be straight with you, have you found the Maiden's Grail?"

I look at her. "It doesn't concern you."

"Yes, it is." She spoke. "Because I'm your fiancé and I do have all the rights to know about it."

"Maybe you just forgot you're my fiancé because that's what our family wants. So next time, don't use that excuse to force me to tell you everything that I, myself was the only one who struggled to find it!" I seriously answered and I could see from Corvina's eyes she was surprised from my sudden tone but I couldn't blame her, she made it to herself. "Mau," I look at him who's sitting at the drivers sit. "Let's take Ms. Corvina first before we go home."

"Yes, Sir."

Afterwards…

'I send a message to declare war. So beware, I come soon.'

After reading the letter that was sent for me, he quickly burns it to ashes.

"The flowers?"

"Mond burned it already."

"Good." He said then looks at me seriously. "Aren't you going to consume her? Because for me, this is the right time Haimon."

I know what he was trying to say and yet I am reluctant to do it because I know what it causes.

"I still can't." I honestly answered.

"Haimon!"

"I know what you mean, but… I cannot just let her…"

"Die?"

He speaks the word that I was trying to avoid and hearing it makes me want to puke as the image of my wife's dead body occurs.

"No! She will not die! Not again, not never!" I exclaimed before marching out of that place. I didn't even look back even though he was calling me over and over again, I just run away from that place without turning my back.

At the Haimon house…

I suddenly half-awake when I felt that my husband wasn't here beside me so, this time I forcibly open my eyes to look for him.

"Did I wake you up?"

I heard him said and when I look at him, he just came out at the bathroom. "Not really," then I smile before lying down back to bed.

"Did you dream something?" he asked as he came back to bed and embraces me through his warm chest, letting my body cuddle around him.

"Uhm, no, it just that… I miss you already when I felt that you aren't here beside me," I honestly answered and I can sense that he's smiling. "Your smiling, isn't you?" I asked.

"Of course! Because hearing what you just said, makes my heart flutter."

I'm happy to hear that, I wanted to convey but instead I break down our embrace to freely look him in the eyes.

"You've always fluttered my heart too, my love."

He smiles at him, a smile that give my heart warm and then he kisses me. A light with full love on it before he embraces me back to his arms. Though, I am expecting for more than a kiss, I just chooses to be contented from the affection that he's been given me. In time, maybe we can finally make love if he is ready enough to consume our marriage.

Meanwhile…

I smile as I saw the flower that was sent from me.

"A Canterbury Bell," Maury said. "That only means…"

"Your letter received." I answered and I pick up the flower that blocks our gate. "Although, this won't be enough! I think I shall visit his wife more often until he took it seriously."

"You're going tomorrow?"

"Yes, and let us see how long will he stay in silence." I said as I smile mischievously then I turned around to look from a far distance. "And I know you're watching right at this moment, Haimon Del Gazini."
