What Happened to my Husband?

Chapter Twenty-Two:

"We need to--" Catalina suddenly stops when we all felt someone was watching on us and before we can do something about it, a strong blast suddenly attacks us.

"Nooo! Ahhh!" I was pushed back because of the strong force that blasts us out on our feet.

"Haimon!" I heard Norward called but to my surprised someone attack me and because I'm not ready, it hits me hard.

"Ahh!"

"Divine lights!" Axton released a strong power that helps us all to escape at the sudden attack. "Now! Let's go before they attack us again!"

The power that Axton released blinded the eyes of our attackers and it really helps us to escape. Van was the one who brought us all out of that place with his power element and we end up to Sage's Residence.

I am breathless and I couldn't hide the pain that I feel right at this moment.

"We must take care of your wound Haimon," Dealla said.

"No. I need to go home."

"No, Haimon." Norward answered. "We need to heal your wound before you go home. Because it won't be good if you just go home lightly and you know what I mean," he seriously said and I do understand him but I can sense that Shu Tokino is already been awake and she is looking out on me.

"But she's awake right now and--"

"I'll come!" Dealla said. "And for a while I'll patch your wound with my ice. It will prevent your wound to bleed more." She suggested.

"Alright," I said. "Let's do it." I agreed.

"What happened?" I asked when they came back.

"Clay badly hurt Haimon." Ashru answered. "Though they escape from us," he adds but knowing that Haimon was badly hurt that would be enough for me.

"That's fine, Uncle." I said before I look at Clay. "How did you manage to hurt him, Clay?" I curiously asked him.

"His too unprepared that is why I caught him and got badly hurt," he replied.

"Wow! That's unexpected."

"Why, you don't like it?" Corvina asked.

"Not that I don't like it but I wanted to at least hurt him too." I honestly answered. "But well, knowing his badly hurt I'm happy enough to see how long will his sane stay cool?"

"What do you mean?" Corvina curiously asked.

"You'll know tomorrow morning." I spoke.

"Sir Kanik." One of my servants came in. "The ritual is about to begin and they are ready for the sacrifices."

"Good! Let's head in and find out who was the reincarnation of Siara Meinir." I said and we all went in together without thinking about those intruders.

Those eyes… Those crimson gold eyes that I saw somewhere… no! I quickly covered my mouth when I slowly regain my lost memories. The day of my parents' anniversary, when we got home that night, the moon shines brightly full. A very romantic scene to be with your love, and he was there kissing me passionately making me breathless.

I try pushing him but he was too strong I cannot stop him as he devours me slowly, I begin to lose consciousness but when he let go of my lips, even though my eyes blurred I knew what I saw. His eyes, it was the same as now, crimson gold.

Though the difference from before, the eyes that I see right now isn't hunger, it is more of pain. Fear was I felt first but as I stare at him longer, I finally feel worry than fear.

"Don't come closer." He said and this time he tried to hide his eyes.

"But--" Suddenly Redmond came in blocking my husband out of my sight. "Mond, what are you doing?"

"You have to stay in your room." He calmly answered.

"What?" I frowned from what I just heard. "Are you--" suddenly I feel kind of dizzy, I try to shake it off but I cannot until I lost my consciousness.

Afterwards…

"I'll take care of him." Dealla came in after Shu Tokino lost consciousness.

"Please… do as she said." I said almost breathless.

"Alright, I'll take care of Ms. Shu."

I nodded before he brings my wife back to our room while Dealla bring me to my office where she healed my wound.

Next day…

I woke up from the light penetrating from the curtain of our window and for no apparent reason, why did I suddenly feel dizzy last night? That I shouldn't have felt because of the situation that happened to my husband. He badly needs my help but then, I lost consciousness and to make it worst. Why do I feel this way, as if I shouldn't have seen anything last night or even remember what I witnessed? But why? Do I really have to forget that incident? Or maybe…

"You are awake." Suddenly my husband came in to our room and to my surprised he seems fine.

"Wh-what happened last night?" I asked wondering about the last night events.

"What do you mean?"

"You…" I paused for a while but I don't know why I shouldn't ask him about what I witnessed last night as if something or someone forcing me not to. "What time did you get home? I didn't even realize you're back home, I hope you woke me up to somehow reduce my worries." I said but I knew I'm just lying.

"Don't worry everything is fine. Besides, you look too tired last night, so I decided not to disturb you." He answered and I just silently look at him. "Okay, if you're worry about our last conversation--"

"No, that's fine!" I quickly cut him off. "I think it will be better to get some time to rest besides, Dealla was back so she can take care of the store."

"Then, what shall we do?"

I do not know but there's something going on but I stay quiet about it and go with the flow.
