The Truth Finally Revealed

Chapter Twenty-Three:

I don't know but there's something going on but I stay quiet about it and go with the flow. Even though what I witnessed last night is still intact into my memories I couldn't ask him why? Why do I have to forget what I saw last night? And his eyes are one I will never forget yet I cannot ask him.

Is that the secret he wanted to hide from me? Or there is more than that? I don't know, but whatever it is I am so sure I will eventually learn all his secrets.

"Well, then," I smiled. "Why don't we do what you suggested? Let's have a vacation as our second honeymoon." I don't know but after I said it his facial feature changes in a glimpse then he was back to normal.

"I don't think we can do that."

"Why?!" I suddenly burst out. "Oh, sorry! I didn't mean it."

"That's fine, Love. You have all the rights to get mad and I'm really sorry. Something suddenly happened in the office and I really had to take care of that."

"What about Uncle Norward? Can't he just take care of it?"

"No, he can't." he answered. "Because I'm the head of that project so Uncle can't take care of it alone."

"Oh, okay. Then, I'll just go back to the shop, since I won't do anything here. I rather work than to be here all alone." I spoke.

"You won't be alone." He suddenly answered. "I'll accompany you."

"But you've said you have work so how will you accompany me?"

"It won't take long so I can still be with you after that. And we can still take a short vacation from a near place. How about the beach? We can go there after I'm done. What can you say?"

I don't know but I have this feeling that I had to reject him for a reason that I witnessed last night. The blood that I saw from him, I already knew he was badly injured last night. But the question is what happened? How did he get that wound? And just thinking of it I cannot hide my fear and I tremble when I remember the blood from his hands rather than seeing those mysterious eyes of him.

"I…" without knowing I embrace myself because of this fear that suddenly emerges.

"Love! Are you alright?" he worriedly asked and quickly came at my side.

"No!" I suddenly jumped out when he was about to hold me. "Ah! I'm sorry! I… I mean…" I suddenly feel surprised and confused at the same time as I recalled the events of last night and I cannot hide it any longer even my voice was cut too short and I'm lost. "I think I shall go get some hot bath." I said and without letting him talk I left him quickly and went straight at the bathroom.

"Shuki!" I heard him called but I just left him without looking back.

Sage Residence

"How are you feeling?" Dealla asked me as soon as I came.

"I'm fine."

"How about Shuki? How is she?"

"She's fine." Although there's something wrong about her, the look of her face tells it. She even trembles for a reason I don't know and it make me worry and yet I left her with Redmond. If it wasn't about the event happened last night, I won't leave my wife behind.

"What's the problem, Haimon?" Norward asked.

"Nothing." I spoke. "So, what happened at Reinhardt's Residence?" I directly asked.

"We still don't know because the whole place has been protected that I could not break." It was Sybil who answered.

Sybil Sage, daughter of Norward, she can use all the elements around her making her the most powerful element user though because of her fragile health she has her limit using her power.

"We couldn't do anything now, Mon." it was Netro, the one who has a vision to foresee the future, me and Redmond friend.

"What do you mean?"

"They already done the ritual and now they already knew about the whole truth as what my vision told me."

Reinhardt's Residence

I still couldn't believe what we had found out after we're done the ritual.

"The Oasis truly is magnificent." I spoke. "I had no idea that what I had been looking for, for a long time was almost within my reach. And Haimon already had her for a long time."

"You were right," Ashru answered. "And now that we know we shall get her on our side."

"No." I replied that surprise everyone present there.

"What are you talking about?" Brennan was the one who asked while the others waited for my answer.

"We still need to wait, for now." I spoke. "It's hard for us to just take her lightly especially in the state she has, we cannot just force her to leave her husband. And besides, it seems she had no memories of her past. So, it's harder for us to just convince her without knowing her past. At least for that one thing, we need to do something about it."

"You were right." Brennan agreed. "We need to restore her memories first."

"But how can we do that?" Clay asked.

"I had an artifact that can help us." Wafi answered.

"That will be great, Wafi!" I excitedly answered. "I'm really glad that you had the things that we need."

"But there will be a problem." I seriously answered.

"What do you mean?"

"We need to convince her in order to use the artifact."

"What!"

"Yes. You heard it right, Kanik. That is why you need to get closer to her as soon as possible. Get her trust and don't let Haimon know what you're up too. That way, he cannot interrupt us until we get back her memories."

"But they love each other, aren't they?" Corvina said.

"She's right." Clay agreed. "Bringing her memories means bringing their history together."

Clay was right, but there's nothing we can do. We need to gamble.
