Cold and Emotionless

Chapter Thirty-Six:

"Don't hold me."

I was surprised from the tone she used on me though I know I am wrong still why she looks cold, emotionless and serious. I couldn't even know if she's still the woman that I love, the Shu Tokino that I know.

Hours ago…

I take a deep breath. "Yes, I am ready."

This is my decision and even though Siara won't like it, I knew in the end she will understand me.

"Then, let's do this." Sybil said and begins the things that she needed to do.

Ruin Mansion

As I follow Kanik, I look around. The place seems familiar as we go further as if I've been here before but the question is when. Because as far as I remember I never been here before but then I couldn't stop this feeling of familiarity.

"Kanik," suddenly a beautiful woman came out of nowhere. "You really brought her here." She said as she looks at me with a smile.

I hesitantly smile at her.

"Don't worry, she's the one will be going to help you to return your memories." Kanik said.

"Oh, alright." I smile and this time I normally smile.

"Hi," she said as she came closer to me. "I'm Medea Maren." She introduced herself as she handed me her hand for a handshake.

I accepted it and gave my name. "I'm Shu Tokino Del Gazini."

"I'm glad to finally meet you." She said before releasing my hand. "So, shall we?"

"We shall." Kanik replied before turning his gaze back at me. "Let's go."

I silently nodded as I follow them.

Meanwhile…

"How long are you going to stay here?" I asked as I look at him.

"Well," he replied as he shrugs off.

"What kind of an answer is that?"

He smiles at me. "Come on. We had a plan." He said as he walks at the edge of the cliff. "And we still need time to pursue to our plans."

"How are we going to wait?" I asked as I walk and go to his side. "She was about to remember once they use the artifact."

"I know."

"Then, are you just going to watch them?"

"Yes."

"Oh, God! You're saying it as if it was nothing."

"Why?"

"What why?"

"I mean, why do you need to be hurry? We still have enough time."

I take a deep, deep breath before I answered. "Why are you so calm?"

"Because I know, they won't succeed."

"So do us."

"Oh, come on! Have faith!"

"Really?" I shake my head in disbelief.

"I've heard that they were looking for, why don't you go there for a while?"

"Not a chance."

"Why?"

"Do you really need to ask me?"

He deeply sighs. "We can do this."

"There you go again." I replied as I sigh but he looks at me with those faithful eyes and I couldn't just ignore it. "Alright!" I finally surrender. "I'll go there… for just a while."

Sage's Residence

"What are you talking about?" I asked once again. "You still couldn't find my wife?"

"Haimon," Norward stops me by holding my shoulder. "We will find her no matter what."

"But, for how long Uncle?" I asked as my worries builds up. "I don't know if I'll be able to see her without telling her the truth."

"You will." Norward replied but the doubts couldn't just go away.

"It's written all over your face." Suddenly Sai came out of nowhere.

"What do you mean?" I asked clueless.

"Doubts. You doubt that they won't find her." she replied as she walks in. "Anyway, they won't be able to find her no matter what you do."

"What!" we all answered together.

She smiles on us. "Someone already put a strong shield around Lady Shu that is the reason why you couldn't find her no matter what you do."

"And who did that?" Sybil asked.

"Who do you think?" Sai asked before looking at Netro. "Who could it be?" she said as her eyebrow goes up.

"That couldn't be!" Netro reacted as he finally understands what she was saying.

"Anyway, for now. Sir Haimon, you have to wait for her in your house."

"What!"

"You heard it loud and clear. She'll be back there soon, just trust me."

I don't know but her words moved me to believe and as what she told me, I went home without a question.

Del Gazini's Residence

It took me a lot of hours to wait for my wife, Shu Tokino, until she finally came back home. It's almost midnight when she finally came back.

"Shu!" I immediately run through her and hug her for a couple of minutes before I pulled out to see her face. "Love?" I don't know but there's something change about her. "A-are you alright?" I worriedly asked her but she just looks at me emotionless. "Shu…"

"I want to rest." She spoke.

"Oh, yes! Let's get inside." I said and was about to guide her to get in to our house when she dodges me. "Shu?"

"I can walk on my own." She simply answered before she totally walks alone.

I don't know but there is really something wrong with her yet I still follow her in silence. "Shu, where are you going?" I asked when she suddenly went into another room.

"Room." She simply answered and was about to enter but I stop her.

"That isn't our room." I spoke.

"I know." She answered with her eyes cold as an ice.

"Shu?" I don't know but…

"Can I rest now?"

It took me for a while before I could answer her. "O-okay." I said but I still blocks her way.

"Will you step aside?"

It surprised me because the way she tells me was too cold and emotionless that fears me. "Shu, what is going with you?" I asked and was about to hold her when she steps back that really surprised me because she never did that. "Shu?"

"Not now." she said and was about to leave when I try to hold her.
