Telling the Truth

Chapter Fifty-Five:

The d-day is now, this is the day Haimon and I agreed to introduce myself to his Uncle. And it was clear to both of us about our conversation yesterday that I would not tell his Uncle my last name and we would have to act normal in what we would do in front of his Uncle until I got home. And yet, it looks like everything we talked about yesterday will be ruined.

Haimon's appearance since we arrived at his Uncle's house, it's almost impossible to paint. As if he cannot longer lie to his Uncle and I even try covered it up but it seems it isn't enough. After our lunch, he decided to bring me at the garden to walk for a while leaving his Uncle behind since he got something else to do. As we walk in silence, I could sense that Haimon was a bit worry even though he doesn't tell a word I could feel it and I hear his heart beats.

He wants to hide my true identity but he is even more unable to hide the truth. That makes me feel happy rather than to feel sad because the truth, I really don't want to hide the truth about me mostly to him. Because he is the man that I love and whoever he loves and care, I want to be honest with them.

"Love?" Haimon called my attention.

"Yes?"

"Are you alright?" he worriedly asked but it seems I should be the one asking him.

I smiled. "Of course, I'm fine."

"But--"

"Haimon," suddenly his Uncle came and I already knew what will happen next.

"Yes, Uncle?" he answered.

"Can I talk to you for a while?"

Haimon look at me first.

"Go," I said. "I'll wait for you here."

"Alright, I'll be quick." He said but my guts tell me that I need to follow them in secret.

At the Office Room…

"I'll tell you." Suddenly I heard Siara's voice and look at the door.

"Siara!"

She smiled at me before she faces Norward. "I'm Siara Meinir." She spoke.

I was surprised when she suddenly came in and told the truth about herself. I felt so scared and nervous when she told Norward the truth and I immediately turned to him but I was even more surprised when I saw his reaction.

"You are the hidden daughter of King Harkan Meinir, right?" Norward answered that surprised us both.

"Ho-how did you know about that?" Siara asked and I could see how surprised she was.

Norward sighs. "I know it's surprising that I know about you but so far I can't say how I found out about you." He spoke. "For now, more importantly, I have no objection to that relationship you two have. But let me just ask, does your father already know about you two?"

"That--" I was about to answer when Siara cuts me.

"Yes and no." she answered that surprised me and I look at her with question. "Ahm, he knows I have a boyfriend but I haven't said who you are yet." She explained.

"Well," Norward answered. "For now, it would be better for him not to know about Haimon first. Since Haimon is a Duke and in charge of the war against your father's army, it will be better if he will not know for now."

He was right, we should not let her father knows about us… for now.

"But how long we need to hide?" Siara asked.

"That…" Norward replied.

Deep into the Mountains

Silence and I don't know what I should say but I just silently listen at the sound of the night while Siara sitting at the grassy land. Not knowing what was she's thinking and I am afraid to ask or even talk to her but she let me go with her here in the mountains.

"How long are you going to stare at me?" Siara suddenly breaks the silence.

"Huh?"

"What?" she replied and looks at me with a smile. "Come on! I'm fine! Really! And besides, I'm happy to know that your Uncle is accepting our relationship. That knowledge is enough for me to feel at ease."

"But how about your father?"

"Well, he openly accepted it but I really don't know if he will accept if I introduce you to him. I don't know what will he reacts." She honestly answered that makes me feel more scared and worried.

"Honestly, I'm scared and worried." I told her what I truly feel. "But I will face these feelings just for you. I will introduce myself to your father."

"Why?"

"Because I love you." I sincerely answered. "And who you care and love I want to be true to them even though I know there will complications once the truth comes out. I will face it with courage for you because this is how much I love you." I firmly stated.

Siara looks at me but I couldn't read anything from her eyes and even her expression that is why I am not so sure if she feels the same way. Mostly when she stays quiet longer enough to make me feel anxious but to my surprised, she suddenly hugs me.

"Haimon." She spoke. "I love you so much."

I don't know what to say because it was so sudden and she even made the first move but all I know she is the woman that I love the most. My one and only woman.

Sage's Residence

"I was surprised," Catalina Blaze, the leader of Edelweiss Clan, after I told her what did just happen earlier at lunch. "It seems we cannot prevent it to happen again."

"You were right." I spoke. "But they know nothing of the real truth."

"Yes, indeed."

"If only the elders didn't alter the history maybe it will be better if the whole truth was openly known."

"If that will be the case then, we won't be living in peace."

"Then, do you really think 'he' will return?"

"Yes, he will return."
