'Can someone stop this! I can't take it anymore!' I prayed in my heart.
A pink-haired woman who had her head on my lap smiled, "You should open up a bit, darling. You are making it hard to believe that you sexually assaulted a woman. Do you know that the Loki bat bugs can also copy someone's personality? In other words, you like women, my dear boy."
I ignored Ishwar caressing my chest part of my suit and looked at the beautifully shaped clouds through the circular back window.
'No wonder why I never noticed how much the people were hurt outside the floating palace.
When you are high up in the sky, it is hard to notice the staff below.'
"Do not stress yourself about it," my uncle answered my thoughts, with his smile being reflected in the view mirror, "I myself blame my youngest sister for depending way too much on your father. She should have ruled the kingdom when she noticed the severe physical state of your father. She really learned nothing from her Amma(1)."
His words carried a lot of truth in them. Even so, he went beyond the line.
"Don't say such things about my mother to my face!" I roared, "No matter what happens, she is still the one who gave birth to me at the end of the day!"
Treating my words like a fly, Sunil said, "It seems you were being followed, my boy. We just reached Lucknow, yet the Mysore palace is floating in front of us. You really are a bringer of bad luck, Rajah."
Boom–!
I didn't have time to look at the periscope, as our helicopter tank was shot in the blades. Nonetheless, our ride was built for even more dangerous cannons, which made it easy to withstand the attack.
"Your Highness, please find a safe place to hide," Ishwa suggested. However, I was already controlling the machine gun that is hidden in between the blades. She quickly complained, "Your Highness, you should have used the emergency exit to get out of here! Why are you even forcing yourself this much?!"
"Because if I fail now, my people would suffer a fate a hundred times worse than this!" I answered with resolve in my voice.
Pew!
Thanks to all the training I went through as a kid and my vast knowledge about the Mysore palace, I found the sniper laying underneath the palace, bleeding in with the recruits. I quickly directed the mouth of the machine gun at the slick glass window that was in the middle.
Pew!
"I shot the poor guy in the head and heard a few clapping sounds from beside me. "You really are something, son. You really have a talent in using the gun. You could have become a general with that kind of talent," he said.
I replied sarcastically, "I am regretting that right now. Being a sniper has always been my calling from the heavens."
"Don't be so full of yourself," the green-eyed girl scoffed in my direction as she took the stand that controlled the helicopter machine guns. "I will show you how a true marksman does it. You are still an infant compared to me."
Pew, pew, pew–!
The moment her words faded, she shot all the soldiers that stood on top of the palace. My jaw fell a bit as it would take someone with extreme skill to control two guns facing the opposite direction at once.
Even so, someone didn't want to be left out in a kids' game, despite being fifty-eight years old.
"Hahaha! You little ones know nothing about guns! The old version of firearms was the best!"
Uncle fired an expansion cannon from the main gun. It started as the size of a single fist but expanded rapidly, reaching the size of a healthy ten-year-old elephant just an inch away from impact.
Kaboom—!
The left side of the palace crumbled into bits, and anger surged within me. "My mother could be there! What if something happens to her? How can you not care about your youngest sister?"
Sunil picked at his big ears, "Don't you worry. Don't you worry, child. See, heaven's got a plan for you."
This old man! He really is infuriating.
"Haaa..." I sighed. Part of me knew he would act like this, so I am not really shocked about everything, "Ishwar, wouldn't it be a wise decision to jump off the helicopter tank and attack them on the ground?"
The pink-haired girl took time to ponder a little before replying with a serious look, "Let's put a hold on that thought. Something tells me that your twin brother won't be there together with your parents."
"That makes sense," I agreed, but I had doubts about a few things. "If so, where could they be?"
Sunil replied without any care in the world, "Beats me. The Mysore palace always moves around India. Maybe in one of the places it passed on the way."
Unconsciously, the baby lines on my forehead increased as I momentarily clenched my small fist.
"Rajah, focus on the target. Don't lose focus," Ishwar ordered with a firm look as she aimed for her next opponent.
Pew, pew, pew—!
She shattered all the front glasses on the palace as she quickly aimed for the soldiers left open.
Boom—!
However, uncle made the first move. He shot the front balcony, but his attack didn't even make a single scratch, showing the power of the golden palace.
"Tsk. It's to be expected from a palace where the king is said to reside," he remarked as he went back to controlling the helicopter. "You two cover me. It's a complete waste of time to attack this place."
We nodded at Sunil's command as we skillfully killed off any enemies that dared to show up from within the palace walls. Nonetheless, before uncle could get away, a few other helicopter tankers were surrounding us.
Pew, pew, pew—!
Gunfire was exchanged between the four arrivals. Nonetheless, the board of our helicopter was made out of great stones which increased the durability by two hundred percent.
I quickly took control of the main gun and shot at the blade of the tanker to our east. However, it appeared that we weren't the only ones who had used great stones.
"Damn it!" I cursed as steel nets from our enemies shrouded our vehicles like fish being taken from a river.
"Forgive me for this, your Highness."
"Huh?"
Before I could turn my head to face the pink-haired girl, I found myself falling to the ground with a parachute behind my back.
