Stefan and Veronica replay the video one more time and watch quietly, finding subtle red flags. Veronica can swear that the makeup in addition to masking Jordi's sudden aging, also hides the scuff marks and bruises, but avoids pointing out the fact so as not to alarm an already uneasy Stefan. Veronica worries about what might happen to her friend, especially if he meddles in her personal projects.

"I'll go to the police, Veronica. That's the only way we can clear up what's going on"
