A Dream (Pt. 2)

Weisheng frowned in concern. He didn't realize that the Heavens had been doing her dirty all along. No wonder she didn't care about their opinion. No wonder she was fearless. 

"So, the letters you write to the Arbiter…" Weisheng murmured. 

"I ask him to tell me the truth," Xiaoling replied, "I know he doesn't read my letters, nor would he ever reply. But if I know why I'm forced to stay stuck in the Mortal Realm, maybe I'll come to terms with it." 

"Can I ask how old you are?" Weisheng asked. "As in, your spirit age." 

Xiaoling smiled, "What? You think I lied to you when I said I'm not 10,000 years old?" She shook her head, "I woke up in this world about 3500 years ago. I'm just as clueless as you. If I really died 10,000 years ago, then it means that I stayed in that dream for 6500 years." 

Weisheng's jaw dropped to the ground, "You've been trapped here for that much time?!"
