Author Here!~ Writing this for those who don't want to guess what the story is about based on the synopsis. Short answer, this is a revenge story. Long answer, ML wants revenge because of his history with FL. FL wants to stop ML from ruining his life out of vengeance. Find out how this disagreement leads to drama, tears, and angst in their relationship. Based on your feedback, the ending can be happy or sad or even bittersweet! Also, a quick disclaimer! This novel involves hard topics that might not be suitable for younger audiences. Also, altho it comes off as a love triangle, it's not a love triangle. FL only has one romantic interest, and that's ML! Hope you enjoy reading this!~
Okay, I have a lot to say about this book because this was reuploaded and I did read a few extra chapters from the earlier version. For world building, I'd say that it's explained pretty easily. Even if you don't read Xianxia works, this is easy to understand. Almost all the terms are explained well because the Male lead is as clueless as us. I really like the addition of Chinese addressing terms. I think those are cool to read, and the novel might not be as interesting without the terms. For character design, I must say that the author put a lot of work into the characters. They're absolutely perfect. All of them have their good and bad sides. My fav is Hai (ifykyk). The only thing I'm waiting for is the mentioned "connection" between ML and FL. I'm so curious about their past tbh and can't wait for it to uncover, altho i can tell it'll take a while. Great read tbh, can't wait for more!
I really like this novel so far. Can't wait to see how the past connections between the main characters uncover. It's like a mix of multiple genres, there's a little bit of everything. Overall, an interesting read.
