“Isn’t it funny?” Weisheng asked as he scoffed in amusement, “I vowed to protect a woman named Xiao Hua with all my life, but here I am, insanely in love with a woman named Xiaoling.” 
“You…” Xiaoling tried to speak but ended up silent. 
“It doesn’t matter who I am,” Weisheng murmured, “All that matters is you stay by my side forever.” He raised his head from her shoulder and looked into her eyes, “Because you’re the only one I have in this world.”

Tale Of The Sorceress

The butler informed Xiaoling and Ru that Xie Gang and his disciples were standing outside the residence. When Lady Ren asked the butler to call them inside, they rudely refused. Irked by their attitude, Xiaoling and Ru bade farewell to everyone and left the residence.

Xiaoling walked outside with straightened shoulders, keeping her head straight as she ignored the 'guests' and walked past them sassily. Ru bowed his head slightly, showing some respect. But then he followed Xiaoling.

Xie Gang scoffed, "Ren Xiaoling," He called her loudly. Xiaoling stopped and turned her face to the side to look at him. "I'm the one who knows the location, not you. Shouldn't you walk behind me?"

Xiaoling glared at him, "I don't need you to guide me to my ride now, do I?"
