“You…” Xiaoling tried to speak but ended up silent. 
“It doesn’t matter who I am,” Weisheng murmured, “All that matters is you stay by my side forever.” He raised his head from her shoulder and looked into her eyes, “Because you’re the only one I have in this world.”

Tale Of The Sorceress

The Celestial Court was crowded with Heavenly Officials, waiting for the Civil God to arrive and commence the meeting. By the time Weisheng reached the courtroom, the Civil God hadn't arrived. So, Weisheng was right on time. He stood next to the Arbiter, and Kang Peizhi stood behind them as their attendant.

The Civil God arrived shortly, greeting all the Officials with a deep bow.

"I, Fenfang, greet all the Celestial Officials," The Civil God said with her shrill voice, "Please accept my deepest gratitude."

Fenfang had been the Civil God since forever. She could keep her position even after the Tian War by being neutral in all situations. Although Weisheng didn't support her standing in the Tian War, he had nothing against her. The Heavens would crumble if everyone started choosing sides. At least one person had to be neutral.
