Snowfall

Xiaoling knelt on the ground, looking out the big window in her room. Unfortunately, her window was locked as well. She hadn't had fresh air in a while. She could just look outside and pretend to be breathing fresh air. She hadn't kept track of days either. If she wanted to take a guess, it must've been over two weeks.

She could tell it had been two weeks because it was snowing outside. Her room was warm and cozy, unlike outside. Every night, snow would fall heavier than the previous day. It became a clock to her since she wasn't allowed to use her phone either.

Suddenly, she heard knocking on her door. She turned around to see the foot of the door empty. Whoever knocked clearly forgot that she was only allowed to read letters.

"Master," Weisheng's voice stunned her, "Can I come in?"

Xiaoling's eyes widened, wondering if she should call him inside or not. She opened her mouth to speak, but words failed to comply.
