Intruder

Weisheng shook his head, trying to rid the memories out of his head. He had to look for the Arbiter and had no time to dwell on memories. The Hall was a mess, but Weisheng's mind was a bigger mess.

As he navigated his way through the shelves of the Hall, he noticed one of the ladders to have been misplaced. He found it strange. Only Weisheng and the Arbiter were allowed to touch anything in the Hall, and none of them had a habit of misplacing things. The Hall being a mess was another thing, but each shelf was surrounded by scrolls that belonged to the said shelf. It wasn't misplaced, just untidy.

The ladder, however, had been misplaced. It could only mean that the Hall had an intruder. The Arbiter would never misplace a ladder.

"Lord Arbiter?" A familiar voice caught Weisheng's attention. Surprisingly, it came from the same shelf missing a ladder. The voice didn't belong to the Arbiter's Hall.

"Master?" Weisheng called the culprit, "Where are you?"
