Chapter 34

Beck's career in L City was progressing smoothly. In less than a month, the new storefront had been renovated in various ways. F Company Southwest Branch had also been officially established, with its office located in an office building in the city center.

Because several people, including Summer Mu, came with him from B city. So he also rented two fully furnished three bedroom apartments near the company and lived in them himself.

On that day, Summer Mu and two female colleagues had just pushed open the door to go to work when they heard the door across from them also open. Beck's low and smiling voice came through: "Xenia, thank you for recommending me. But I have an appointment with a manufacturer today to see an important batch of fabrics, and I can't go. Next time."

He walked out, wearing a black suit with the top button of his shirt still loose. He put down the phone, looked at them, and smiled, "Good morning."

The other two female colleagues were even older than Summer Mu, and one of them joked, "Beck, that Xenia always invites you out. We met her last time she came to the company, she's a super beauty. Isn't she going to be our boss's wife?"

Summer Mu, like them, smiled at him.

Beck replied, "It's nothing, just some business dealings. I'm not interested in her."

They didn't expect him to answer so directly, and the three of them were stunned. Then the female colleague immediately laughed and said, "It's just that being our boss lady is not that easy."

Beck just smiled.

For the next two months, everything went smoothly without any wind or waves, and there were no major changes.

F's first and second stores in L had successively opened. Due to lower costs and customer purchasing power comparable to B city, the Beck team had extremely strong operational and management capabilities. So when F, a fashionable, simple, and high-quality new brand, appeared in the shopping mall in the city center, it quickly became popular and won a great victory. In just one week of opening, two large stores took away nearly 10% of sales in the same market. This was a very terrifying number. For a moment, it seemed that everyone in L City knew about this brand and was enthusiastic about buying it.

And these days, Summer Mu had been so busy that she can't keep up in the dark. She also bumped into it a few times during this time, Beck talked to Xenia on the phone. It seemed that Xenia had invited him several times, but he only went once at most. Neither of them had seen any substantial development. It didn't know if she felt Beck's politeness and aloofness, but Xenia hadn't appeared in front of them for a while.

Beck always called her "Summer", and gradually, this title became popular among colleagues and became her English name.

The incident occurred late at night in mid November. L City was not too cold, but it was damp and soaked in bones. That night, Summer Mu was sound asleep when she suddenly heard a heavy knock on the door from the hallway. She and two other female colleagues woke up at the sound, opened the door, and saw the male colleagues across the door standing there dressed neatly, with a cold expression on their faces. Beck was wearing a dark coat and his hair was still a bit messy. He glanced at them and said, "Let's go."

Summer Mu immediately asked, 'What happened?'

A male colleague replied, "Just now the factory reported that there were problems with a large number of fabrics."

Everyone's hearts were tight.

The factory was located in the southern suburbs of the city and was established through negotiations between Beck and a local company for cooperative production. B city of F sent someone over to be responsible for controlling the production process and supervising quality. The quality issue with this batch of fabrics was discovered by the quality control personnel in the first place.

It's dark outside, but the production workshop was as bright as day. Summer Mu and a few people followed Beck and stood in front of the fabric stack. The young monitor held a piece of fabric and said excitedly, "Mr. Beck, this batch of fabric must not be used. I have inspected it and found that the ingredients are incorrect, and the flexibility and wear resistance do not meet the standards. If we make something that looks no different from before, the quality will definitely not be comparable. This will smash our F's high-quality brand. And I always feel that there may be other problems with the fabric that need further inspection."

"How could this happen? In short, the several batches of fabric that X provided us with are all fine. "said someone next to him, puzzled." Is there something wrong? Should we call them to check?"

Everyone looked at Beck, his face cold but with a hint of a smile in his eyes. He didn't speak, so everyone remained silent.

One of them patted the quality inspector's shoulder and said, "Thanks you. We have reached a strategic cooperation with Mr. X, and the quality is exempt from inspection. If it weren't for you, the problem wouldn't have been discovered this time." However, the quality inspector replied softly, "Mr. Beck told me early on that no matter whose fabric it is, especially Mr. X's, even if it is said to be exempt from inspection, it must be carefully inspected as soon as possible."

Everyone was surprised. Summer Mu's heart had already settled down and he looked at Beck. He spoke calmly and said, "There's no need to publicize this matter or have any connection with X. Everything will proceed as usual. All the fabrics will be sealed and stored in the warehouse. Manager Xu, immediately contact the B city factory and urgently draw the fabrics over. That's it."

"Yes. "the manager in charge of production ordered. Others remain silent.

After a while, someone spoke up: "Mr. Beck, although X's side is too bad about this matter, he has been operating locally for many years and the strong dragon does not overpower the local leader. Shouldn't we?"

Beck just smiled and suddenly looked at Summer Mu, "Summer, you are the marketing manager. What do you think? How can I win this market?"

 Everyone was watching Summer Mu.

Summer Mu remained silent for a moment, then suddenly smiled and said, "Then take it. A local snake or something, if you don't fight, you won't listen. If you encounter the first snake, if you avoid it, what will you do if you encounter the second or third snake in the future."

Others were accustomed to her diligent and steady demeanor, and now they were surprised to hear her say such rebellious words. But her words stirred up blood, so she no longer questioned Beck's decision. But Beck just glanced at her and smiled.

He was supposed to borrow her mouth and say these words. Because he knew her hidden courage.

And indeed she said so.

All turmoil was hidden under the dark night sky.

Summer Mu stayed in the factory for the rest of the night, adjusting goods and rearranging production with colleagues. Beck and two other managers entered the office and had been discussing. In fact, Summer Mu discovered that he had his own rules for how to use people. For example, although he valued her and often accompanied her, he mostly let her work in market planning and management, which was a more glamorous job. But he never let her get involved in those secretly planned things.
