Chapter 13: Turn You Into A Sinner

"My lady, I've been worried about you; why did you go?" Yivanne inquired as she noticed Inara heading in, but instead of responding, Inara fell into sobs, "He's mad at me, Yivanne,"

Yivanne moaned bitterly, helped her to the bed, and murmured quietly, "Of course he'd be angry at you; why did you want him to marry her, my lady?"

"I don't know, I just felt it's the best option, "Your heart does not want him hunted, which is why you returned. However, he is also fighting for your sake; how can he marry her without abandoning you? Thus, he didn't desire it either, but my lady, I feel he'd come around soon,"

"Do you think he would? I shooed him away, "Yes, he would, my lady. Just give it some time," Yivanne advised, and Inara gently shook her head.

—----

"Prepare yourself, we're going somewhere," Alexander murmured to Inara as he entered her room, and she furrowed her brow in confusion. She realized he looked completely different, and he was not even calling her 'wifey.'

"Where are we going? At the very least, tell me what is wrong," she requested, and Alexander gazed at her before saying coldly, "Heading to your hometown, we would stay there for a couple of days,"

"Is there anything wrong?" Alexander responded, "I don't like to be questioning too much, we're leaving in an hour," before walking away furiously.

—---

Inara was frightened of riding a horse, Yivanne couldn't also ride it, so Forest took her with him. No one dares to suggest that they take Inara with them among the warriors, "Hop on my horse, stop delaying me," Alexander commanded firmly, which was exactly what Inara intended, and she grinned unobserved.

Alexander guilded her on top, sat in front of her, and they started the trip right away; it was a rapid and chaotic ride because they had to be there in the evening. Inara, on the other hand, was not thinking clearly; she was afraid of falling. Perhaps she had a phobia of horseback riding.

"Should I slow down?"

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine…., "Hold me for support and stop sluttering. Not like I'll do it for your sake," Alexander chuckled, and Inara was hurt by his lack of regard for her, but instead of holding him, she placed her arms around his waist.

Alexander's eyes were frozen, and he murmured darkly, "I said hold me, you're pratically during the opposite of it, "Please, let me rest on you, I'm afraid of too much speed for horse," she muttered. When Alexander understood she had a horseback riding phobia, he practically lowered his speed.

—----

Many villagers were overjoyed to meet their long-awaited princess, but Inara was perplexed; how was her status as a princess revealed to them?

"Welcome, Your Highness," an elderly woman greeted her as she alighted from the horse. Soon, all the peasants fell to their knees, Inara dashed to them, repeating at the same time and speed, "Greetings, Your Highness," and urging them all to rise.

"Greetings to you, my people, have you all been doing well?" she said sweetly, smiling sheepishly at them, "Yes, Your Highness. Young Master of Duke Empire wants some time here, but we lack some buildings, so please manage what we have for you,"

"We also found out you're couples, is that correct, Your Highness?" another villager inquired, and Inara glanced to Alexander, who responded in his customary fashion, "Yes, we are. Happy married couples," she whispered to the elderly woman, who grinned and flashed her beautiful white teeth.

—---

The couples retire to the room allotted for them at night; in the meantime, they had to sleep together. After Alexander went for a few hours, Inara began to suspect that he actually does not want to sleep with her, which pained her deeply.

"Yivanne said he would come around, but he's doing the opposite," she thought as she sat weakly on the bed. One of Alexander's men told her from the door entrance, "My lady, Young Master has requested to see you,"

Inara got to her feet and headed exited the room. Meanwhile, Alexander was seen in a garden with his face hidden, "Young Master?"

Alexander gently shifted his attention on her, and signaled to the man that brought who immediately dragged in a lady of approximately sixteen years old, "My wife is here, have you finally found your lost voice?" he inquired darkly, focusing the question at the lady. The lady crawled over to Inara, pleading for pardon.

"Your Highness, I'm sorry for almost murdering you; it was my only option," she confessed, but Inara couldn't figure out what her words meant. Nobody in the village attempted to murder her.

"I don't get you, and you don't offend me," Inara admitted honestly, "I do, Your Highness. I attempted to murder you for your hairpin; it cost a fortune, and I know no one would know I was the one who murdered you and stole your hairpin," the lady sobbed.

"Please, forgive me," Inara stared at the lady pitifully; she was her people, but she didn't know them well enough to understand their needs, "Do you want me to do anything for you? There must be a reason why you wanted to murder me,"

"My sister is sick and requires immediate medical attention, Your Highness, "Would my hairpin cover the cost?"

"Your Highness, you don't have to give me, I tried to harm you…, "You have your reasons; nonetheless, let this be the last time this happens. If I ever observe you doing it to someone, you will be severely punished. You may leave; my regards to your sister," Inara responded quietly, surprising her because she had expected her to kill her.

"Thank you, Your Highness. I'll always appreciate your wonderful gesture," Inara withdrew her hairpin, allowing her hair to fall downwards over her shoulders. She turned to Alexander and noticed him staring intently at her.

"That was a wonderful leadership method, wifey, but I was expecting you to punish her," he remarked, smirking, "She needs help; I couldn't penalize her for that. Aren't you upset at me?"

"Partially, wifey, because I've reconsidered marrying her after seeing how my wife wants it. Don't you think she is beautiful?" Alexander teased, and Inara erupted in rage, "You're marrying her? Why would you do that?"

"You plainly stated that you want me to marry her and dump you. Furthermore, I wanted to perform several dirty things that you refused to do. I was thinking about seizing her on the bed and making love with her on our first night together,"

"If that's what you truly desire, Young Master, I would accept," Inara grumbled and attempted to walk away, but she noticed him standing before her, "Leave my sight, Young….," Alexander held her against a nearby wall and stared carefully at her.

"You pretend to be upset over my having an affair with her, despite the fact that you never permitted me to do all of those things with you. Don't you think you should let other women do your work, wifey?"

"Young Master, is cheating on your wife the best way, though?" she spluttered in a painful voice, "I'm really impatient, and I don't consider women's sentiments; they're the ones who want me. So it's not labeled cheating; it's a legitimate conduct,"

"Young Master, what if I allowed you, would you stop the supposed marriage?" Inara asked calmly, and Alexander stepped closer to her, whispering darkly, "Permit me to do what?"

Inara was completely stunned; how could she have explained herself any better?

"I'm waiting, wifey, "Can you do it?"

"No, wifey, "Why?"

"Because I wasn't trying to taunt you like I intended to do with her or every other women; I want to claim your saint, and I'd prefer turning you into a sinner, wifey," he dropped the bombshell, and the surrounding fell lifeless.
