Sylas felt a pain and heaviness coming from his throat. He had only been speaking for an hour or so, and he didn't believe that could be the cause. There must be a certain price to pay when he was speaking Ancient Ithkuil.

As far as he had seen until now, beasts didn't have Comprehensions. But that might be because they didn't have the blessings of the system necessary to trigger them.
Nosphaleen might know of a method that allowed non-overlord Races to grasp Comprehensions, and if Sylas could give his contracts such Comprehensions, he would have a path both to make them and their bloodlines stronger.
