The fact that he was unable to get the Aether Treasure was a huge blow that he wouldn't be able to easily get over. But truth be told, he should have already accepted this.

He had entered with only 40 million or so Hero Points. Just entry to gain access to an Aether Treasure had cost over 10 billion, and even with how much she was willing to spend, Nyssa certainly couldn't afford such a caliber of Treasure.

Aether Treasures were too powerful and important, let alone Ancient Aether Treasures.

The more Sylas learned about these matters, the more he found it odd that the Thryskai had made this a competition instead of just handing it to Ulrik. And all that considered, why Ulrik in the first place?

Everything seemed to suggest that Ulrik wasn't a big shot amongst the Thryskai, so why was so much effort being placed on him?
