Chapter 653: Things are getting weirder

From what Malfoy has learned, except for a few, like Barty Crouch Jr., the most fanatical Death Eater, most of the Death Eaters became disillusioned with Voldemort.

Because Voldemort has lost his greatest advantage:

Absolute power!

Without the absolute power to dominate the entire magical community, and with Voldemort's current reputation, what can he possibly accomplish?

Voldemort is hated by everyone in the wizarding world.

What's more, two people can defeat him head-on.

Under these circumstances, what future awaits those who continue to follow Voldemort?

Within the ranks of the Death Eaters, there are roughly three classes of people.

First, the diehard Death Eaters.

Second, the Pureblood Wizards.

Third, various groups of dark wizards... such as werewolves, hybrid (half-goblin, half-giant, etc.) dark wizards, and social outcasts.

Among these three groups, the latter two are not very loyal.

They only pledged allegiance to Voldemort to achieve their own goals.

For example, the Malfoy family.

They spared no effort to support Voldemort because of his Pureblood Theory.

In their view, when Voldemort has accomplished his great cause, the Pureblood families like them will be able to regain their rightful claims to power.

But if Voldemort has no future, they will consider siding with someone else to ensure the survival of their families.

The Malfoys have undoubtedly set a good example.

There are many pureblood wizards like the Malfoys in the Death Eaters' ranks.

And Andy is their first choice.

First, Andy is very young.

Being young means having an infinite future.

Second, Andy is very powerful.

In the wizarding world, power is still very important.

What is the saying?

When money speaks, the truth remains silent.

But in the wizarding world, there's an additional sentence you need to add:

When power speaks, money becomes worthless.

Voldemort is the perfect example.

Third, Andy has a good reputation.

In the eyes of many, Andy can quickly become the Minister of Magic after graduation if he chooses to join the Ministry of Magic, and there's no need to stage a coup like Voldemort did.

Fourth, Andy is not as righteous as Dumbledore.

This is the most important point.

Fifth, all signs indicate that Andy is not without ambition.

He is a perfect choice for the Pureblood family.

In today's world, the decline of the Pureblood family is almost visible to the naked eye. They have lost both power and a great deal of wealth.

If it weren't for Fudge's ascension to power, the Malfoy family would hardly be able to interfere in the Ministry's internal affairs.

But even the unpopular Fudge was only won over by the Malfoys with a great deal of wealth.

But it still didn't help.

They now desperately needed a leader who could lead the Pureblood families back to their former glory.

"..."

Malfoy hesitated for a moment, gave Andy a knowing look, and nodded, saying, "Yes! They want to side with the Ministry, and they think the Dark Lord has failed."

Andy: "..."

Explain yourself. What's that look mean?

"I need to think about it," Andy replied ambiguously.

Andy understood Malfoy's hint.

But Andy didn't want to get involved.

There was no need!

Whether it was reforming the wizarding world or leading the pureblood families to regain their former glory, it would do Andy no good at all.

It would just give him a bit of power and a bit of money.

That's all there is!

But this is the wizarding world; here the most important thing is magic!

Unless there is no hope for immortality, Andy will never consider material things.

Isn't it great to live forever and be able to roam the world without being bound by rules?

Isn't it tiring to deal with trivial matters every day?

Andy even thought that if he really obtained immortality one day, he might as well research ways to survive in a vacuum in space so that he could set off on a space adventure whenever he felt like it.

The stars and the sea are where true romance lies!

In contrast, Voldemort is utterly unimaginative.

Malfoy's face brightened at this.

In his opinion, Andy was only saying this because Harry, Ron, and so on were there.

Some things cannot be said out loud.

Because Andy still has to smear Dumbledore's reputation and then find an opportunity to kill him.

Until then, Andy cannot reveal his ambitions.

Malfoy gave Andy an 'I understand' look.

Andy: "..."

Is this guy crazy?

What the hell is going on in your head?

Malfoy wasn't just making things up this time.

It was all based on well-reasoned analysis.

These few days before the start of the school year, Malfoy and Malfoy Sr. had analysed a lot of things about Andy.

Malfoy still remembered Andy mentioning Grindelwald to him.

He was a real villain who almost brought down the whole of Europe!

And look at what Andy has done!

First, he fought Voldemort at the Ministry of Magic, which created a good reputation for him and brought him great prestige.

Then he smeared Dumbledore's name and secretly schemed to obtain the Deathly Hallows.

According to Lucius Malfoy's guess, Andy should have many other unknown plans under the table - he wants to get rid of the two stumbling blocks, Voldemort and Dumbledore, in one fell swoop, thus taking control of the wizarding world.

The previous battle was just to test Voldemort's true strength.

The two Ministry of Magic battles actually took place within a short period of time.

The first time, Andy was on the losing end.

The second time, Andy injured Voldemort.

According to a witness, Andy overpowered Voldemort in their magical confrontation.

Andy's combat power in the two battles with Voldemort was completely poles apart.

Is this possible?

Analysing the situation, some people believe that if Dumbledore had not been alive, Andy would have killed Voldemort that night.

The battle was probably just to calm Voldemort down for a while so that Andy could spare his energy to deal with Dumbledore.

Malfoy was extremely impressed.

This demonstrated the wisdom of the third Dark Lord!

Strength, wisdom, patience, and planning... he was simply impeccable.

Andy couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable as he watched Malfoy's eyes gradually glow.

He always felt that things were developing in a strange direction.

Did the Great Ainz Ooal Gown's settings somehow get added?

"Is there anything else?" Andy asked.

Malfoy, of course, had a lot more to say.

For example, Voldemort already knew about the Deathly Hallows, and he wanted to warn Andy to be careful.

However...

Looking at Harry and Ron, Malfoy felt their presence become more and more of an eyesore.

And Hermione...

For Malfoy, who had been brainwashed by the pure-blood supremacy theory, Hermione's family background made him feel like something was stuck in his throat.

"There are some details..."

Malfoy hinted, "Well...it's not appropriate to talk about it here."

Andy: "..."

Okay.

Andy sighed and said, "No rush, we can talk about it later!"

Malfoy automatically interpreted this comment: the time is not yet ripe.

Feeling that he had understood the intentions of the 'third generation Dark Lord', Malfoy quickly said, "Of course! Everything is...is focused on the great cause of fighting the Dark Lord."

Andy took a deep breath.

Things were definitely getting weirder and stranger.

"Is there anything else? If not, I'd like to take a break." Andy really didn't want to spend any more time with these mentally unstable people.
