Nerdy and gut

"What are you looking at?! Let me go!"

The man immediately removed his hand from the woman. The woman immediately held her arm and occasionally stretched her shoulder which felt very painful. And then the man just couldn't hold back his curiosity. "Who are you?" he asked while putting both hands on his hips.

"Who are you!" the woman said back to him firmly. "How dare you twist a woman's arms. You have to take responsibility, I think my bones are broken. I will never be able to bake bread again because of you."

"Bread?" he muttered in surprise. He felt like this woman wasn't on the same page as him so he explained and said, "I mean you were the one who called me repeatedly and touched me without permission. What do you need from me?"

The woman looked at him increasingly sarcastically. "So you really aren't deaf, you should have stopped when I called. Instead of running more, I had no choice but to run after you."

He sighed and cooled the temper in his head. He bent down to pick up the woman's belongings. An old cardboard box and round glasses whose glass was slightly cracked. "I guess I need to apologize for breaking your glasses, miss." He said as he handed it to that woman.

The woman snatched the glasses from the man's hand and wiped them with the hem of his oversized t-shirt.

"Aren't you gonna apologize for twisting my arm? I'm still waiting."

The man didn't say anything else besides waiting for the girl to stop wiping her glasses. After murmuring all of her annoyance, she put on her glasses and looked straight. "I'am talking to you mister, can you-" her words were cut short when she finally got a clear look at the man in front of her.

She was about to continue speaking, but it turned out that the person she was talking to was taller than she had imagined. She could only see the man's chest, covered in a white shirt wrapped in a black jacket, looking like an office worker but he was more like a model. From a distance, it is clear that he has a fit and muscular body without fat. Anyone can see that clearly.

She looked up to see the look on her opponent. She almost said 'wow' and embarrassed herself in front of this good looking guy.

"I'm sorry," said the man then handed the used cardboard to the woman, "For twisted your arms. Now, may I know why you are chasing me?" said the man softly. He was actually tired, eager to end the day with 8 hours of sleep.

The girl touched her glasses and looked puzzled for a while. Memories came back to her after realizing what was in her hands. A cardboard with someone's name on it reminded her of her purpose in visiting the airport.

"You are Mr. Bagas, right?" she asked while showing the cupboard. "I'm your tour guide, my name is Aleyah. Our first impression was terrible but let's get along well after this, shall we?" she stretched out her hand, inviting the man to shake hands.

He ignored the hospitality and chose to pick up his suitcase. And then he just stared at the woman without any desire to touch that tiny hand. He put his hands into his pocket. "I'm not the guy you are looking for, tour guide." He said, deliberately emphasizing the end of his sentence.

The woman covered her mouth, "Oh my! I'm so very sorry, I thought you were the one. Your features are similar to him so I thought you were..." her voice got quieter the longer the man stared intently straight to her eyes.

The man didn't give a damn about those excuses. Instead, he scoffs and bends his body in front of that girl. "It's funny to watch yourself embarrass yourself. Even though you were sarcastically attacking me earlier." he enjoyed the woman's defeated look.

"Goodbye tour guide. I hope you're not losing your arms by approaching random foreigners again." he continued as walking past that woman.

She was left speechless and full of embarrassment. After making sure the man had walked far, she combed her hair back with fingers then put both her hands on hips. "Insolent foreigner." she cursed quietly without taking her eyes off the man's back.

Not long after, a stranger approached her. A little girl walked towards her and touched her thigh. "You dropped your ring, Miss." she said and then handed the ring to Aleyah's hand and ran to her mother's side.

Aleyah didn't have time to say thank you, smile or anything to the little girl. She didn't remember carrying a ring before. Was this ring some kind of trash that happened to be around? Or maybe it belongs to the person whose clothes she is wearing. The woman felt her pocket and found that there was a big hole in her trouser pocket. This ring must belong to his sister, that was her initial suspicion.

Aleyah returned to her place, waiting for the tourists she would guide around the city today. Her cell phone rang, she was reluctant to pick it up because it was her little sister. But because it kept ringing, she picked it up, "What?" she asked in an annoyed tone.

Her sister told her to go home immediately. Aleyah rolled her eyes, surely it's because she couldn't turn on the stove anymore. "I am working. You called at a bad time. I'll lose this job if I screw up again." DEa chartered non-stop, not letting her sister talk.

"Mommy.. you have to come here, right now," said the girl on the phone in a hoarse voice.

Aleyah suddenly fell silent. The word 'mother' and his sister's tears were enough for him to conclude one thing for sure. Her anger slowly replaced by a sign of disbelief and shock.

"What did you say again?" Not long after she heard the full explanation, Aleyah burst with tears and almost kneel down in shock. And then she ran as fast as she could to go back home.

Forget about the pain on her shoulder. Forget about the tourists or her job. She forgot everything, her focus was only on the road outside the airport and the vehicles that were willing to take her away as quickly as possible.

When she got outside, she was confused about what to go with. She did not have a vehicle and there was no public transportation nearby. There were only the private cars of the plane passengers and some of their families.

Aleyah ruffled her hair in frustration. She wanted to order a motorbike taxi online but her old cell phone suddenly broke. "Son of a b- '' her curse was cut off by the sight of an empty taxi at the end of the street.

A man was walking towards the taxi, so she quickly ran to get ahead of him. She had to go home quickly. The car door opened, she took advantage of her slender body to squeeze in. Luckily the person hadn't had time to get in so she pulled the car door quickly.

"Let's go." She said in a hurry to the taxi driver.

A man's big hand held the car door so that the taxi driver didn't dare step on the gas. "It's you again, get your own taxi!" snapped at the man who had twisted his arm.

Aleyah tried to close the door by pulling the handle but the man was stronger than her. So much stronger that the car door didn't move at all.

"I have to use this taxi. I must go home." Aleyah's words made the man harden his jaw and become even more angry. What other disaster had this woman brought him, he thought.

"You think I want to stay here for a long time? Get out!" he exclaimed in a loud voice.

"Sir please sir," said the woman again, almost begging with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Aleyah held on to the car seat. Confirms how much she wants to stay there. Hoping the man would give up. So she looked the driver in the eye, "What are you waiting for? Step on the gas, sir!" She said commanding.

"You step on the gas, I'll break your legs." The man threatened the taxi driver. That taxi driver didn't dare to step on the gas after hearing that. To be honest he was more worried if his car door was damaged.

"I am begging you sir," whispered Aleyah. "I really need to see my mother. I cried like this, don't you feel pity?" she continued, frustrated.

"If you knew how tired I've been this past month, you'd feel more sorry, miss." the man replied in annoyance.

Aleyah turned to look at her cell phone which was ringing again and immediately died out of power. Then that added to the panic in her. Aleyah had no other choice. She grabbed the man's shirt and pulled him swaying until he got into the car.

The man hit his head, he stroked his head which felt very painful. Aleyah quelled the man's anger by crawling on his thighs to reach the car door. "Let's go, sir." The woman said in a hurry but the car still didn't move.

"Are you out of your mind?!" The man shouted furiously at the woman who was sitting on his thigh.

Aleyah grabbed the man's collar, "Yes, I'm crazy! Now sit still, you selfish bastard. I have to go to the hospital to see my mother who is dying, damn it! Please help me," she shouted, accompanied by tears that wouldn't stop flowing.

"What should I do sir?" Asked the taxi driver.

"I beg you," said Aleyah this time more gently.

The man sighed, he hated himself for being easily pitied like this. He glanced at the driver and nodded as a signal to get the car moving. The driver only obeyed his orders because after all he was the one who ordered the taxi.
