Chapter Seven

After a few hours, the wolves seem to be calming down. I hear Nico and Tala playing cards. Ray and I sit under the trees. Her smile was from ear to ear.

"Gala and Theo are so handsome."

"Yeah if you're in that intergalactic shit."

She laughs. Giving me a smirk. "And you don't think?"

"My mate is adorable."

"Fine, you win." she laughs.

The aliens landed, and parked their spaceship a few miles away from camp, a few years away from the vampire cave. They are mysterious, and I'm not sure I accept them as friendly. I know the others were hoping I declared them as enemies but I want to watch and see first. There are more of them than there are us.

"You and Tala huh?"

"He should be my mate."

I feel myself getting annoyed. "But he's not."

"Just happy for me," she tells me, with her eyes huge. I know she likes him. He is a charmer, that's for sure.

"Just be careful. Don't let your heart get too attached."

She nods.

I pat her arm.

My nose is picking up the smell of more wolves, and I know that many members of the old generation are approaching. Ajay and Smoke is the first I smell. I am sure everyone thinks  I need the whole fucking Werewolf Council.

I roll my eyes, seeing many familiar faces.

"Pack meeting," I hear Ajay's voice. I feel the redness going to my face. He thinks he is still in charge.

Everyone approaches and is in a big circle. I feel myself getting frustrated.

"We need to figure out this alien ordeal quickly, they threaten our existence with their large numbers."

Everyone nods.

"This can get sour quick Rori," Dev tells me.

"They haven't even made any threats, everyone needs to remember that they just arrived. Let's just watch their actions."

"Their number alone is a threat, Rori," Ajay yells with a red face.

"Ajay, like you waited the vampires out."

"This isn't the same. There could be hundreds of aliens in that spaceship."

"And this is my call, Ajay," I yell, with anger.

He changes into a wolf, a huge wolf. Ajay was the biggest wolf here, even still.

Then I hear the familiar roar of my dad's wolf. Loud, confident, and protective. On his hind legs, his wolf stands proud with his hair standing up.

"Back off my daughter now Ajay," he yells.

"Sorry you're right, I was out of line," Ajay changes back into his human form.

"Give me some time to figure these creatures out. We need to determine their weakness because we can't fight off hundreds even all of us combined.

Everyone nods.

Hours later, Nico and I sat under a tree. I was glad everyone left. Shit!

"What made Ajay jump my bones?'

"Sorry, I texted him and told him about the Aliens and how we didn't interrogate them."

"Nico!"

"You have to drill them, you can't just let them stay with so many secrets."

I roll my eyes. "We don't own the forest. I have no say in whether they stay or not."

"You're right, but you must ensure that they follow the rules and understand their diet for the forest food chain."

I nod. "I suppose I didn't receive all the answers."
