Fort Aegis guardian; One Sword

The moment the Aether Barrier shattered, chaos erupted.

The horde of mutant beasts surged through the broken defenses, tearing through the outer walls like they were nothing.

Gunfire rang out, but it barely slowed the creatures down.

A mutant lion, its body covered in armored scales, leaped onto a fleeing soldier, crushing him beneath its weight before tearing his throat out.

A swarm of deformed ravens, their beaks serrated like blades, descended on a group of screaming miners—men and women, pecking and ripping them apart until only blood remained.

The ground trembled as a mutant rhinoceros, its horn crackling with raw aether energy, charged through a barricade, sending wood and metal flying in all directions.

There was no strategy. No formation.

Just slaughter.

The screams from above sent a wave of terror through the miners.

For the first time since the alarms rang—They panicked.

"THEY BROKE THROUGH!" someone screamed.
