John had left home very early the next day for the two lectures he had.

After the first lecture on his timetable, he headed to the library to research before going to the food court to grab lunch.

At the food court, he met his foodie partner, Alex.

“You finished so early.”

“Not yet, I still have one more course for the day. I guess the lecturer in charge is just coming over to give corrections to the previous project he assigned to us.” John explained to Alex while his eyes were scanning the meal Alex set before himself.

“Can I have a taste?”

“Feel free to order something for yourself.”

“Take a chill pill, my man.” John ticked Alex just for him to say yes to his demand.

“OK, you can have a bite.”

“Thanks, man.”

He quietly sat at his front and enjoyed every bit of what he had on the table.

“I thought you only wanted this?” Alex pointed at the sandwich.

“If you were attentive enough, you would have noticed that my stomach was growling when I walked in here.”
