Adam at Priya’s place

Since his own mother was not very literate, Adam enjoyed plying his aunt with questions about many aspects of life and nature, because she had a better educational background. She had grown up more privileged than both of his parents.

Aunt Priya had also travelled around the world and visited many overseas countries.

She told Adam about her adventures, since her own children were not very interested in her exploits in life. They wanted to explore and experience their own.

When Lucky came to open the gate for him, Adam joked with him as usual. Lucky did not mind being teased about his love life, because he was a good-natured man who loved to indulge others.

Adam found his aunt in her big kitchen, busy teaching a young maid how to prepare vegetables for cooking. Although she seemed keen on learning how to master her craft, the girl giggled a lot.
