The gates of the Red Fortress were closed, densely overgrown with vegetation. Opening these gates would undoubtedly make a lot of noise.

While eliminating them, Maxwell checked the number of zombies in this batch; just over a thousand was enough for him to Fuse into a Level 1 zombie, a Level 4 zombie, and a Level 3 zombie.

Then, Maxwell sent out the newly acquired Level 1 mutant zombie along with the previous Level 1 female zombie back into the Red Fortress. There were still many female zombies on the plaza and inside the castle, and Maxwell had no intention of letting them go; he planned to bring them all out.

As for Eva and Carline, Maxwell had no plans to send them out.

After all, the Red Fortress seemed very eerie, and there were many things he still did not understand. Naturally, Maxwell was not willing to let Eva and Carline enter such a strange and potentially dangerous place.

"Now, if I can combine to create one more Level 1 female zombie, I could upgrade either Eva or Carline to Level 4!" Maxwell thought.

Thus, Maxwell sent the Level 1 female zombie back into the mountains to gather more zombies.

Next, Maxwell fused the two Level 1 mutant male zombies to create a Level 2 mutant male zombie.

Then, he fused this Level 2 male zombie with a previous one to create a new Level 3 male zombie. After that, Maxwell combined two Level 3 male zombies, obtaining a brand new Level 4 mutant male zombie!

Maxwell now had two Level 4 mutant male zombies in his possession.

However, this time, although Maxwell had two, he chose not to fuse these two Level 4 mutant male zombies together. After all, he only had these two male zombies at the moment, and if he fused them, he would be left with just one. Having only one zombie for labor seemed very inconvenient.

After a while, the number of zombies that had climbed over the wall from inside the Red Fortress had surpassed five hundred. One of the Level 1 female zombies led them towards Maxwell's location, while the other continued to direct the zombies inside to climb over the high wall.

Maxwell also experienced the advantages of having a multitude of mutant zombies.

He waited for a while, and those five hundred plus zombies were brought over.

After eliminating these zombies, Maxwell obtained a Level 10 female zombie, and since he already had another Level 10 female zombie, combining the two resulted in a new Level 1 female zombie.

He now had four Level 1 female zombies, enough to Fuse into a new Level 3 female zombie.

After the Fusion, he could directly upgrade either Eva or Carline to Level 4!
