Chapter 183: Luffy vs. Arlong

Arlong's face was extremely dark, his towering height of over two meters exuding an oppressive aura.

Nezumi was a crucial part of Arlong's plan for establishing his Arlong Empire, and now he had been consigned to the depths of the sea.

Inferior humans, unable to even breathe underwater. How dare they rule the land! 

The Fishmen are the noblest race in this world!

"Arlong, look at those people."

Hachi pointed ahead at Luffy and his crew.

"They don't seem to be villagers."

"Strangers. Are they the ones who ruined my plans?"

A cruel smile appeared on Arlong's face. Whether they were or weren't didn't matter anymore.

At this moment, Luffy and his crew were merely tools for Arlong to vent his fury.

Nami, standing to the side, felt a jolt of fear in her heart as she saw Luffy. Panic flickered in her eyes.

"How did they end up here?!"

Nami didn't want Luffy and his crew to die at Arlong's hands.

The time she spent with them had unconsciously affected her. Why couldn't they just take their ship and leave?

"Nami!"

Luffy's surprised shout drew Arlong's attention. He glanced at Nami and said, "What? So, you know these guys?"

"Luffy, I was right. Nami is with the Arlong Pirates."

Yosaku glared at Nami with anger.

"Hey, Yosaku!"

"I won't allow you to talk in this way with my friend!"

Luffy turned with a dark expression towards Yosaku. At that moment, Luffy seemed like a different person.

Even Yosaku was taken aback. "Luffy…"

"Friend?"

"Nami said you're their friend!"

"Hahahahaha!"

"A bunch of fools must have been deceived by Nami."

"Our dear Nami is an expert at betrayal."

Arlong's crew laughed mockingly.

They not only ridiculed Luffy and his friends but also mocked Nami, seeing her as unworthy of having friends. Betrayers like her could never be trusted.

The mocking laughter pierced Nami's heart like knives. She clenched her fists, her body trembling slightly.

Luffy's dark gaze was fixed on Arlong as he shouted angrily, "You dare to insult my friend? Nami is our comrade. Anyone who slanders her won't be forgiven!"

"Stop talking nonsense. You followed me here just to cause trouble."

"Arlong is right. You're nothing more than my prey. I was just pretending to be your friend for my own benefit."

"Now that I've achieved my goal, there's nothing more to say."

Nami's face was expressionless, betraying no emotion.

Luffy stared at Nami for a moment before slowly saying, "You're lying."

"The eyes don't lie."

Nami's body shuddered.

At that moment, Arlong's cold hand landed on Nami's shoulder, causing her to shiver.

Why? 

Why did you come all this way for someone like me? 

I don't want you to die because of me!

Arlong's face twisted into a cruel smile. "An inferior human daring to speak."

"Hey."

"Kuroobi, Hachi, these people are my prey. Don't interfere."

"Whatever. I'm not interested in your prey."

Kuroobi snorted dismissively.

Hachi nodded in agreement.

"This guy is so annoying. I want to knock him out."

Zoro looked at Arlong with irritation.

Sanji finished his cigarette, tossing the butt on the ground and crushing it. He said coldly, "I won't spare anyone who makes Nami upset."

"Green head, that guy is my prey."

"Huh? Curly-browed idiot, what did you say?"

"Do you want to die?!"

Seeing Sanji and Zoro arguing, Arlong's disdain grew even more. "Inferior humans are truly inferior, even squabbling at a time like this."

"I'm not interested in listening to humans' bicker."

Arlong grew impatient.

"Hey, Zoro, Sanji, leave the other Fishmen to you. I'll take care of that guy."

"I'm going to knock him out!"

Luffy said in a deep voice.

"Luffy."

It was the first time they had seen Luffy's serious expression.

Sanji glanced at Luffy and said, "Got it. If you lose to that guy, you won't be qualified to be on my ship."

"Don't worry. I won't lose."

Luffy smiled confidently.

Standing before Luffy, Arlong's imposing height made him look like a giant compared to the small figure of Luffy.

"It takes some courage for an insignificant human to stand before me."

"However, you'll fall soon."

"And so will your companions."

Just as Arlong finished speaking, a powerful punch struck him in the face.

Arlong's face twisted in pain as he was sent flying, rolling several times on the ground before coming to a stop.

"You're so annoying. I just want to knock you out."

The Fishmen around stared in shock, their expressions blank.

The villagers peeking from their homes watched in disbelief as Arlong was sent flying.

Arlong was beaten? 

Did they see that right? 

Even such a monster could be so helpless.

Nami, too, was in a daze.

Having been with Arlong for so long, she had never seen anyone dare to attack him like this.

"Hey, Nami!"

"Do you really want to follow that guy?!"

Luffy yelled at Nami.

"Damn brat!"

"Don't get too cocky!"

Arlong stood up, his eyes bloodshot and filled with rage. He resembled a man-eating shark, his brutal gaze making everyone shudder.

Arlong leaped forward with powerful legs, flying toward Luffy like an arrow.

"Shark on Darts!"

Arlong opened his enormous mouth, revealing sharp iron teeth as if he wanted to tear Luffy to shreds.

"Too slow."

Luffy sidestepped effortlessly, dodging Arlong's attack.

His leg stretched from behind, extending over ten meters to deliver a whip-like kick to Arlong.

Arlong was struck again, grunting in pain as he was thrown into a nearby house.

The house collapsed into ruins, and Arlong was buried under the debris.

Fortunately, there were no occupants inside. If there had been, they would have suffered the consequences.
