Chapter 207: Yohohohoho

Extra Chapter~

"Lord Absalom!"

The zombies' eyes were bulging with shock. Absalom was their commander and a key subordinate of Moria. His gruesome death instilled unprecedented fear in them.

Hinata didn't even want to glance at Absalom again, as though even looking at him would sully her eyes.

His gaze had made her entire body uncomfortable; who knew what strange thoughts this grotesque figure had in his head.

Absalom.

Ryujiro couldn't help but smile inwardly.

I wonder what expression Moria would have upon learning that his trusted subordinate had died like this.

The Clear-Clear Fruit didn't seem very useful at first glance, but in Ryujiro's view, it was quite an interesting ability. If awakened, it might even render the surrounding terrain transparent.

Ryujiro didn't dwell on this minor incident.

After all, the recent upheaval had caused the zombies in the forest to keep their distance from Ryujiro's group. Even from afar, they seemed fearful.

This group was more terrifying than any pirates that had landed on the island before.

After a while, Ryujiro and his crew arrived at a graveyard filled with zombies.

Carmen and Kun, experiencing such a place for the first time, were unnerved by the eerie atmosphere, especially as they saw the dense cluster of corpses.

"What is this place? It's so bizarre."

"Is Gecko Moria a perverted collector of corpses?"

"Maybe you could understand it that way."

Ryujiro replied calmly.

Moria did indeed have a penchant for collecting powerful corpses, hoping to use them to return to the New World and seek revenge on Kaido.

But those were merely his fantasies.

As Ryujiro's group crossed into the graveyard, the small mounds of earth suddenly trembled, and corpses began to rise from the ground.

"I am a zombie."

A dried-out zombie covered in stitches shuffled toward Ryujiro's group.

"Rumble—"

Thunder roared overhead, dense thunderclouds gathered, and a dazzling silver dragon danced and wreaked havoc among the zombies.

The fierce lightning from the dragon turned the zombies into ashes.

The zombies didn't even have a chance to resist, turning into small black mounds of dirt.

Shadows slowly flew out, and Ryujiro observed them with a glint of light in his eyes.

The Shadow-Shadow Fruit was indeed an interesting ability. With enough shadows, one could create an army of zombies, and it had a method of bestowing life.

These zombies' lives were based on their shadows.

The Shadow-Shadow Fruit.

Ryujiro glanced at his backpack filled with various fruits, smiling faintly.

In the palace, Moria's enormous figure nearly covered half the room. He was toying with his "toys," not paying any attention to Ryujiro's group.

"Lord Moria!"

A zombie rushed in, shouting in panic.

Moria's expression turned displeased, and he asked in a low voice, "What is it?"

"Lord Moria, something terrible has happened!"

"Absalom-sama!"

"Absalom-sama!"

Moria's eyelid twitched, and he felt a bad premonition. He barked, "What happened to Absalom?"

"Absalom is dead!"

The zombie shut its eyes and spat out the news in one breath.

"What!"

Moria's body stiffened, his eyes widening. His huge hand grabbed the zombie, which was squeezed in Moria's grip like a toy.

"Say that again!"

"Absalom is dead."

The zombie's voice trembled.

Suddenly, Moria's rage erupted, crushing the zombie in his grip and throwing it to the ground as if discarding trash.

"White Demon Pirates!"

Moria's furious voice echoed through the massive castle, causing the zombies within to tremble with fear.

Lord Moria was enraged!

What could have happened to make Moria this furious?

At this moment, Ryujiro and his group had reached the castle's entrance, and an eerie laughter emanated from within the castle.

"Yohohohoho!"

That sound!

Ryujiro's expression changed slightly.

It was unmistakably Brook.

"Captain, that sound is so creepy!"

Carmen and Kun both shivered involuntarily.

Ryujiro smiled wryly and glanced at the impassive Hinata.

Hinata wasn't afraid, which surprised Ryujiro. In the ninja world, such an environment didn't exist, but he wondered if Hinata could remain calm if she encountered Brook.

Entering the castle, they found many zombie corpses, marked with signs of having been slashed.

Since Brook knew the zombies' weakness, their shadows had already detached from them.

The inside of the palace was a mess, indicating that Brook had caused quite a commotion.

"This place is getting more and more eerie."

Carmen felt an inexplicable chill despite Ryujiro's explanation that these zombies were merely animated by Moria's power.

The eerie atmosphere and their lack of experience made them somewhat afraid.

However, if it came to a fight, they wouldn't hesitate. As Devil Fruit users, they had the strength to battle even Moria.

As they ventured deeper, the commotion inside grew louder.

The rumbling was incessant, and each roar shook the castle.

"Is someone fighting inside?"

Kun looked surprised.

"Whoosh—!"

At that moment, a brilliant flying slash shot out, piercing through Kun's waist and heavily striking a pillar in the palace, leaving a mark.

"That was close; it almost cut me in half."

Kun wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. If he hadn't been a Natural Devil Fruit user, he might have been sliced in two.

"Hanauta Sancho: Yahazu Giri!"

Brook's voice came from a nearby room, and then a wall separating the outside environment exploded.

A completely white figure flew out, rolling a few times before landing right in front of Ryujiro and his group.

Hmm?

Ryujiro noticed that Hinata had tightened her grip on his arm and looked at her.

At this moment, Hinata's expression had turned unsettling.
