Tessa ran away from home to get married to the love of her life, David Winston. On David's birthday, and their three years marriage anniversary, Tessa caught David cheating on her with his childhood friend, Olivia George, a figure from a prestigious family. 

She found out that the man she thought was her soulmate only married her because of his family inheritance, now that he had gotten it, she was no longer useful to him.

It was time for she to go her own way, after three years of hardship and unfaithfulness. 

Tessa picked the pen up and signed the divorce papers. 

‘These people, they have no idea who they are messing with’



David smirked. 

“Tessa is from the countryside, I bet her family are local farmers... She can't do anything. Come to think of it, she never told me anything about her family. Perhaps they are beggars! In the countryside”



Olivia George screamed. 

“Tessa, you will pay for this, I will show you that I am from the George family!”



Olivia's quivering tone was heard. 

“David... I... I... thought you said she is from the countryside, her family are beggars! right? cos what in the devil's name is going on”



Tessa's cheeks raised slowly. 

“I forgot to introduce myself. I am Tessa Wood. From the number one mafia family in the country”



“Tessa, you would be crowned the next heir to the Wood family, but you have to marry somebody from the military, that is your grandfather's last request”

Olivia was shocked to see the person was Tessa, her anger spike to a great height, how dare Tessa crash her party.

She couldn't believe Tessa had the gut to do such a thing, and to think Tessa had tools like this was even more fantastic to believe.

Several lines formed on David face when he saw Tessa, how dare Tessa come here to make a scene, to ruin his plans. she must be joking if she thought she could make headlines with this, and what with the men dressed in black.

He could not believe Tessa was rolling around with local gangsters, thank goodness he did not touch her. Whatever the case, if she came here expecting him to give her money, she must be stupid.

Out of anger, David hurried down to the normal floor, he would not let Tessa ruin his reputation, especially when his name was sounding on everybody lips a moment ago.
