Dragonkin Movements

Sean was sitting at his chair looking through the giant stacks of paper around his office.

He let out a sigh of exhaustion from what he had heard a while back.

All the way up north, even father than QuiteFrost Mountains, the movement of what seemed like Dragonkin spaceships where seen again.

Technology has come a long way since the start of the Great God's War.

In the past, humanity couldn't even think of going to space and travel from planet to planet comfortably, having to wait centuries for that to happen.

But once the war had started, with the introduction of magic, humanity grew fast.

Stealth spaceships were now nothing new, having many ways to counter them.

'Is there a hidden Dragonkin base we don't know about yet?'

Sean was concerned with the possibility of there being one.

Turning one of the the scattered hologram projectors, Sean gave a few words to the other person and soon turned it off.

'We should get more scouts out there. Military base 4 should be aware of those movements.'

Sean chose to keep this information for the teachers at the base for now.

'They should focus more on teaching the kids.'

After thinking so, he put his head back into work.

Military base 4.

It was quiet in the meeting room.

Although they were inside and away from the harsh cold environment of what was formerly western Greenland, it felt like the cold had gone through the walls.

Military base 3 was responsible for teaching new soldiers, military base 4 was to work on something else.

They were responsible for protecting and maintaining the northern parts of the world.

Of course they hadn't have the movements of the Dragonkin go unnoticed.

And it was exactly way they were quiet.

Jasper Blake was the highest in command at the base and the one leading the meeting.

But even he didn't really know what to do about this.

If they do this to recklessly, they might get in trouble with the URE because it could lead to a dissolvement with the treaty that humanity and the Dragonkin signed.

But if he leaves this as it is, if the war ever starts up again, humanity may not be able to come out alive like before.

Aaron said to jasper.

"We'll just have to send in more scouts."

"And you think Sean hadn't called to have that done yet after hearing these news?"

Aaron chose to shut up.

Some of the officers stood silent and others sighed.

"Sigh, there should be something, like… how about we request a few students from military base 3? A new fresh set of minds may have some suggestions."

Jasper sat there for a second before saying.

"Alright, I'll try the Grace. But we still need a different solution."

'If only we had more intelligences about this.'

Jasper continued to think, soon coming up with a plan that even he wasn't sure was going to work.

All they needed to know was what they were doing over there.

In Core Weapons class, everything was going as usual.

Roseline was staring blankly at the wall while practicing her moves on the Steady Mountain.

——— SYSTEM ———

Name: Steady Mountain Form

Martial art progress: 98%

——————————

She was close to completely learning the martial art but even that wasn't what say was thinking about.

She was thinking about how she could use Shadow merge in many ways.

Being able to use Shadow merge opened up a lot more doors and opportunities for her.

She was glad that she had spent the time to fight one of her fears from the canyon.

'Maybe I should learn a new martial art.'

She would of course only do that after completing learning Steady Mountain.

Just like Seth said, it was a really good martial art to start on.

Roseline went back to focusing on the martial art to complete it quicker.

She watched as the percentage increased by 1, but after that it didn't go up no matter how much she tried.

'Hey System, why isn't it going up?'

— The user must be able to do so subconsciously. —

'So in other words, one must spend a lot of time with this martial art…'

Roseline sighed and stopped what she was doing.

There was nothing else for her to perfect so she might as well ask Seth for a new martial art.

A few students before her had already done so, so she isn't the first to finish.

Emma was actually the first to finish perfecting it.

Roseline went up to Seth and bowed slightly as a show of respect before asking for a new martial art to learn.

Seth looked back at Roseline and thought for a moment.

"Hmm.. you are quite difficult to assign a martial art."

Roseline was confused by Seth's reaction but didn't show that on her face.

'Does he know I'm a vampire? Nah that can't be. I look no different than a human, other than being a little more pale than others, slightly points ears, somewhat sharp fangs…. Ok, maybe he might know I'm not human and that's just it right?'

"Come over back to the classroom after the classes are done."

"Yes Mr. Fang."

Roseline walked back to her spot and sat down, watching the other students.

"…"

Emma was hard at work with her new martial art she had gotten a week ago and Lucas was sparring with other students.

Lucas had stopped sparring with her not because it got boring or he hated her but rather that Roseline had simply become too physically strong.

Roseline herself didn't really know how to reign in her strength because she had gotten it too quickly.

Just a few days ago, she had leveled up and the amount of XP she need went up to 1,100.

Her stats had also gone up by one and she had 50 feee stats ready to use.

But maybe this was just the normal speed in which Vampire grew.

Or I could just be the System's unique nature.

Regardless, Roseline was starting to see an issue with growing too strong at such a fast pace.

It was like a sign to focus more on her martial arts instead.

You can't grow to fast with that and it stays with you for life.
