The Eye of Shadows

Something must happen, it's an unwritten rule inforced by the world, the world himself told him, once, when the boy was still crowling. "Curse the night" he cursed falling.

The yeller revealed his figure slowly not really motivated to do something specific, he started advancing a second before the boy crushed on the ground and was fully covered by the tall grass who cracked out with his elegant thin branches climbing to the air around him as if participating in a dreamy dence, blowing his eyes with mess, throwing his focus away, while the yeller approached realizing he had a victim. He remembered something about that, the yellers are careful, searching the area before they attack. he assumed the only threat the yeller have is shadows or other yellers, that was the only thing known about that creatures.

While his concentration returned to him again, it was as clear as crystal before the boy hiding in the rising grass, that the yeller has set his mind getting Bell. If his life held any meaning to him, he might have hesitated more, and thus he would have cut off his sister's end, but it was not in the hand of chance, he was swept away by evil within, boy of melancholic mind somewhere in its essence, which translated to him not holding much meaning to his life making sure he would try to sacrifice himself to save Bell, his dear sister.

He didn't come out of his shelter across the grass, that would have caused both of them to die, instead he had to do something from the shelter, there had already been times when he heard the screams of the shadows in the distance, maybe the only things a yeller would really be afraid of, and he didn't have much of a choice, even though he wasn't amazing at imitations, he didn't really had much of a choice, so he would have to deal with the consequences later. he began crawling slowly, coaxing the grass around him trying to besiege his place while not exposing himself to the yeller, and as if that wasn't hard enough he crawled on slope trying to make the sudden appearance of a shadow a bit more believable, although he didn't have much time he had to give the act credibility. it was something he was capable of, throwing everything away and adopting another identity, even though the identity of a shadow is a slightly strange choice among the existing possibilities. The yeller began to snort seemingly from deep in his throat, sounding torn from the delay, harboring the urge, but for some unknown reason continued to refrain from attacking, at least in these moments. The boy was helpless, the fear in him was building within him, it was a desperate act for a known manner, and therefore he gave in to the attempt, he imagined in his head all the screams of the many shadows that rang around him throughout his life. When he put those feelings on the rising slope below him, he closed his throat and imagined in his throat the echo of the voices he heard in the past, in a kind of leap into the depths of his fate, he opened with a shout.

A perfect voice of a shadow echoed from his throat, it was terrifying, the voices of shadows always seemed to him to be more powerful than what was in reach of a person's throat, hoarse and torn between them, it just wasn't supposed to be possible to make a sound with such precision, at the edge of his hearing there was a warm and frightened gurgling growl and dull footsteps, clearly this worken, he could hear the yeller running away, as well as all other living things or things that have the ability to move in a wide range of them.

The boy lingered for a moment on the grass, a little tired from the large amount of air that passed through him in an instant, but they didn't have time, and apparently they were not in a good condition and his choice was only to continue or to wither. he pushed himself to a standing position with a clumsy mouth, Bell looked helpless and confused, barely standing on her feet trembling, when her gaze fell on him she froze, her face twitching in horror at completely unlike her usual characteristic poise. He advanced towards her a little unsteadily, she didn't seem to recognize him. She began to walk away from him with hesitant steps, her trembling legs robbed her of the ability to walk and she fell back to a sitting position, she didn't look right, even as someone dealing with confusion from the darkness. He just couldn't handle it.

He tried to speak to Bell, but his throat only snorted into his hand in a faint, unintelligible sound, which seemed to shake her composure even more.

It wasn't long before he had her on her twisting back. Her spirit grew more restless as he fell upon her, and at last, she raised her hands to shield herself from him, as a desperate measure of defense against him. He putted his hands on her shoulders that stiffened from the touch and shook her for a moment

Her eyes, hollow from a look, were exposed to his face and shook off after a moment of confusion, her mouth opened for a moment and then closed silently, he raised her to her feet and began to move her after him while she mumbled to herself softly, what he thought that was"I was sure I saw..." He didn't didn't think she herself recognized her muttering, but these were among the things that were least important at the moment, there were almost no chance that they would arrive in time, they were going to stand in front of a shadow, they were going to die.

.....

The gust turned in its place in its well-known borders of the forest's circle, the stooped and twisted faces of the summoners who were about to tower above him, the burden of the years carried by the world, one of the things that escaped him.

His hands were filled with frenzy and were sent to all the things around him under the terror that fell upon him, the call flashed upon him suddenly, the tall friend had not found the heart to pry into the affairs of this district for a long time, hundreds of years. He did not see for a long time, and for a long time he did not meet a form of life that he respected, already on the seventh day of his waiting and his spirit was about to burst.

Finally, towards the evening hours, when a shadow was cast on the features of the old trees, as if they were becoming more and more shaped, this began to happen. The trunks of the trees began to hiss before the circle, to shrink as if wormy tendrils were crawling near them. And from each such a sight a figure emerged, clad in ertiles, all the details of which were lost under the glow behind them. The gust got up and prostrated before them, according to the established tradition, not the first opening in any speech. "Cloud the gust, stand up before the high ones and hear the commands" the voice of the high one echoed deeply and powerfully throughout the place. "What did the high ones desire that I, cloud the gust, would do for them?" He raised his gentle voice in front of them, not used to his name leaving his lips. "Something has happened within the boundaries of your property, it may be that you felt it alone" the high one lingered, the gust wondered to himself "are the higher ups meaning for the distorted lifeform that afflicted my property, their property?"

"It didn't move, cloud the gust, it was born" the gust rubbed his thought on the matter, isn't that what the spirit of birth feels like "if it does exist, they almost say there is a form of life so distorted it can't be considered an animal?"

It seemed that the higher ones hesitated for a moment, something that makes thehigher ones hesitate must be very strange or troubling. "According to all, this thing is more than a life form, all of our tools reacted to it, it is an unusual and unclear event, the higher ones command, which comes in a judgment with many calculations, is that you will watch over it and investigate its nature, until it will show more anomalies, that means, that you, cloud the gust, need to mix with the people of your village if the need arises"

The words surprised him, the tools of higher ones do not respond to many things, but more than anything this was frustrating, human were annoying and disgusting, their presence disturbed his peace like the presence of insects. "All orders from the higher ones are my way" he sealed his words. "do you have anything personal to add", "nothing but my promise that I will do everything as you wish, and I will try to squeeze every drop of ability, emotion, and mental strength out of this life form, you know, to have some fun."
