Chapter 34- I Deserve To Die

When Polly opened her eyes, she was gazing blankly at an unfamiliar ceiling.

There was a young woman in the room with her, and she was standing close to the nightstand. She picked up the hot cocoa she finished brewing for Polly, and she turned just in time to see the red-haired pushing herself up in a sitting position.

"You're awake." She murmured, her tone plain and direct. "That is good. Have this hot cocoa in the meantime, it'll keep your body warmer." She stopped stirring and handed the cup of hot cocoa to Polly, but the disoriented woman refused to take it.

Her green eyes were more fixated on the sudden change of her environment, but they finally settled on the young lady who was still holding out the cup of hot cocoa for her to take.
