Chapter 35- Trust Her In His Safety

Rafael's grip loosened on her shoulder, but he made no comment in regards to her question, or what sounded like an indeliberate accusation to him. His eyes were on hers, as though trying to see past what she was revealing, and Polly was not enjoying the suspense at all.

She awaited his confession, but instead, to her unexpected shock, she was hugging him.

Gasp!

She was pulled into his larger frame, and he made her stay there. Polly was too shock-stricken to react at first, but when she realized the warmth seeping into her skin came from someone else's body heat, she pulled away and tried to escape from his firm grasp.

"What are you doing? L-let me go!" Polly found it difficult to evade his clutches. She felt so small having been pressed to his hard frame, and that comfort it brought, she wasn't supposed to crave it. This wasn't what she wanted from him, she never asked for this, so why was he hugging her?

"Don't pretend like you care!"
