Chapter 33 The King

In the evening, Elaine sat in her room with a heavy heart, pondering on how to comport herself to attend the royal dinner without being impolite.

Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door, and turning, she saw Cheryl walking in, carrying a bundle of clothes.

"Elaine, I've brought you some garments," Cheryl said, laying the clothes on the bed.

"Thank you, Cheryl, but I'm still hesitant about going," Elaine said with unease.

Elaine looked troubled with a frown on her face. She had hoped to skip the dinner, but she didn't know what changed their minds.

"Don't fret, Elaine. Look at this dress, it fits you perfectly, and you'll be the belle of the ball," Cheryl said, handing Elaine the gown.

Elaine donned the dress, and Cheryl then applied her light makeup.

When Cheryl finished helping Elaine dress up, Elaine felt like a new person.
