Chapter 37 Elaine’s Adoptive Mother And Sister

After her pregnancy, Elaine found herself feeling persistently exhausted, often taking to her bed to read the stack of novels that Cheryl had thoughtfully brought home for her.

However, come afternoon, she could not help but succumb to slumber, falling asleep for over ten hours at a stretch.

When she awoke, her body was stiff with aches and pains, as if it were about to crumble apart.

Elaine knew that this was a result of the baby growing within her womb.

Cheryl had warned her that the werewolf child would sap a great deal of her nutrition, potentially threatening her health, and so she must eat more food and drink more milk to compensate.

"Little one, you can certainly eat," Elaine whispered, her hand tenderly caressing her belly. In her mind's eye, she conjured the image of a blurry, smiling child. She was convinced it was a boy.
