Chapter 40 Good News

After discovering she was pregnant, Elaine struggled to fully accept her new identity.

She was just a young girl, after all, who had yet to experience much of the world.

The gears of fate spun quickly, propelling her forward and forcing her to embrace her duty as a mother, despite the fear and unease it sometimes caused her.

Cheryl's reminder that as a human, Elaine was limited in her ability to provide adequate energy and nutrition for the growing life inside her only added to her anxiety.

In an effort to address her concerns, Elaine found herself constantly eating, but no matter how much she consumed, her hunger remained insatiable.

She worried about gaining weight and appearing bloated, knowing that Sherman would not find this attractive.

However, whenever she attempted to eat less, her stomach would protest loudly, as if the growing child inside her was calling out for sustenance.
