Chapter 49 The Most Beautiful Picture

On her way back, Elaine couldn't stop pondering over Olivia's words. She had suggested that she would help Elaine leave. Was it just a compromise after all the tactics she had used?

Elaine raised her head and the cold moonlight pierced through the mist and reflected on her face.

It gave her a sense of relief.

In the past, Elaine would have considered Olivia to be insane for expecting her to comply with her wishes.

However, she now understood her situation.

As Sherman had informed Duke, she and any child born to Elaine would be secretly disposed of, making it difficult for her to face people with the same state of mind as before.

Therefore, Elaine couldn't afford to refuse Olivia's help to escape the palace. It wasn't a bad thing for her after all.

With these thoughts in mind, Elaine let out a heavy sigh, and the tension that had been building up inside her was finally relieved. Her eyes, now black as coal, fell to the ground.
