Chapter 59

　　I sent Patricia back to the hotel where she stayed after dinner. I was relieved that she didn't have any further requirements.

　　After returning to my room, I took a shower. Although Patricia dressed up simply, she wore strong perfume. That smell made me uncomfortable.

　　I wanted to wash the sense of perfume away as soon as possible.

　　The room was too quiet when I sat on the sofa after showering. I didn't know what to do but opened a bottle of wine and poured a glass for myself.

　　It would be a long night. Since Cora left, I have had that kind of feeling every night. I would drink some wine and wait until I couldn't stand it anymore and fell asleep on the sofa.

　　Sometimes, I would go to Cora's room and spend the whole night there. I wished it were just a dream and Cora would be back when I woke up.

　　It was ridiculous that only after I had lost it did I realize how precious it was to me.
