Chapter 61

  Cora's POV

After Javon had cooked for a week, I finally couldn't stand it anymore and proposed that I should be responsible for cooking and cleaning.

"Why? You don't like what I cook?" Javon didn't understand why I said so.

"I like your food. But you're busy, and I have nothing to do," I explained.

  "You need rest," Javon insisted.

"No. What I need is exercise. I need to do something. Otherwise, I'll be sick." I had no choice but to use my health to threaten Javon.

Finally, although Javon was unwilling to, he gave up. He agreed to let me do the cooking.

I went on to persuade him to let me do the cleaning.

"It'll be fine. I know my body. I'll tell you if I don't feel well. I promise." I raised my hand to swear.

  Javon couldn't help but smile.

At night, I let Javon try my cooking skills.

He took a bit of the pie I made and widened his eyes. "Well, out of my expectations, your cooking skills are not bad."
