Chapter 85

I walked to the window and looked out. Dark clouds were coming from the horizon. There was about to be a rainstorm soon.

I was glad that Cora was safe, and so was the baby. But Frida's words made me uneasy. I knew Frida was unreliable, but I couldn't control thinking of what she had said.

So, I decided to go to Magehedge myself. I needed to see Cora with my own eyes.

When Sean came back, I told him my decision.

Sean disagreed. "The company needs you, Alpha. You can send someone else to bring Cora back."

"No, I must go myself," I said firmly. The point was not to bring Cora back but to make her come back to me willingly. I had to solve the problem between Cora and me personally. This time, I didn't want to force her.

"What if Patricia knows? Magehedge is the Mueller pack's territory," Sean asked.

"That's why I have to go secretly."

"It's dangerous. Let me go with you." Sean was worried.

"No. I need you to stay to manage the company for me."
