19. By hook or by crook

"Wow, i only thought you're beautiful and smart, Chusi. I never knew you have such big ambitions as well. You do know King Levi is way out of your league, don't you? That's a big piece of meat you're trying to chew there, Chusi. I hope it doesn't get stuck in your throat later on." He'd really misjudged this girl. Seems she wasn't only a slut, She's an ambitious bitch as well. But it's a pity she's playing such a dangerous game with the wrong guy here.

" Thanks for your concern, I'd watch my throat while you watch your actions. For the rest of your time here, don't approach me like we know each other again. If my father see us together, it will be the death of me, do you understand?"

" Very well, princess " Kieran replied with a smile that doesn't reach his eyes. Wow... she's even using such authoritative tone on him now. Did she honestly think she had him wrapped around her little finger or what?

He watched her turn on her heels and walk away. Kieran clenched his fists tightly.

That blasted girl! She only knows to come to him whenever she needs a solid shaft between her legs. What did she even take him for? Using him for her pleasures and dumping him immediately right after?

What a nasty bitch!.

She's always showing the image of a nice, innocent looking, gentle princess. But he's the only one that knows there's nothing innocent about her. She'd even dared to fuck him in the palace of her supposed to be future husband then ordered him to do her bidding!

But then Kieran laughed. This bitch had underestimated him greatly. It seems it's time he shows her he's not as simple as she thinks.

Kieran clenched his fists tightly and walked back to the banquet hall.

After the banquet, Chusi walked back to her room in a very sour mood. Of all the men she'd deal with, she hadn't expected Levi to be so difficult. He'd been completely cold, impolite and terrifying to say in the least and she'd been too scared to make any other mistake after her first blunder.

But now that she thinks about it, she doesn't mind him acting like that, though. infact it only added to the thrill of the chase. He's a powerful King. Powerful people are always prideful, most especially Alpha dragons. It was understandable that he would act that way.

But she would have gotten another chance with him if not for that irritable sister of his. Such a spoil spot!

Anyway, she would simply have to try her luck with him again another time.

When she came here, she had thought she'd only have to follow her father's arrangements and do her duty to the kingdom but that is different now, apart from the fact that her father wants her to marry him, she was already interested after setting her eyes on him for the first time. He was simply the most beautiful man she'd every seen or been with and she had been with many already.

So by hook or by crook, she'll have to try her luck with him again next time but that is going to be very difficult to accomplish if that sister of his was always around him.

She'd have to find a chance to approach him when he's alone. She was sure he wouldn't be able to resist if she use her skills of seduction that she hadn't been able to demonstrate earlier.

She smiled happily to herself, her heart feeling light for the first time since the banquet.

When she got to her room, she pushed opened the door and froze, eyes widening at the sight in front of her.

She saw her two handmaidens kneeling before her father with tears in their eyes. When they looked up at her, she could see the palm prints on their faces. Her smile slowly disappeared.

What was her father doing here in her room? And what has the maids done to him?

" Father? " She croaked.

" Finally, you're back. Since your handmaidens refused to do their jobs properly by looking after you and making sure you don't get into trouble, it's only right for me to punish them." King Drake Looked at his daughter with a Stony face.

"Now get out the both of you. Next time you fail to do your jobs, I'll have your heads rolling". The two maids quickly scrambled to their feets and rushed out of the room in fear. They'd have accompany their Lady to the banquet if not for the fact that she ordered them to stay behind.

" Now it's your turn " King Drake walk over to his daughter who was already shaking like a leaf and gave a resounding slap to her face.

Chusi screamed and fell down to the floor, tears streaming down her burning cheeks. She was shocked. She knew her father could be really terrifying when he's pissed but she hadn't expected that he'd actually hit her like that and she doesn't even understand yet what she did wrong.

" I told you how much this alliance means to me. I've been waiting for this opportunity for such a long time but you just had to be so stupid and dumb as to spoil everything before it even started. How could I have such a stupid daughter like you? " he shouted making Chusi cringe in fear.

"How could you act without any manners at all? Do you think King Levi is one of those stupid men you've been playing with?" Chusi's eyes widened when she heard that. She had thought her secret Rendezvous was unknown to her father. She hadn't known her father knew but decided to look away as long as she doesn't disgrace him.

"Now that King Levi is displeased with you, I can already see it would be so difficult to finalize this engagement. There are lots of princesses at the banquet for the first time in forever and that doesn't tell you anything at all? I thought you were smart! Do you actually think their fathers brought them along just for fun? How could you be so foolish even after everything we've taught you? Now you already gave him the perfect excuse to reject this engagement, something that he wasn't exactly pleased with to begin with! What if he decided to choose someone else? Or do you think you're the only beautiful one among the girls tonight? Oh, You're such a disappointment! " King Drake was livid. If she wasn't his daughter, he could kill her just for making him loose face in front of everyone at the banquet tonight, even giving Levi the chance to make a jab at him.

Chusi dropped to her knees. " I'm really sorry, father. I'll make sure he won't choose anyone else. I'll try my best to win him over" she said in a chocked voice. Her cheeks still hurting from the slap she's received.

" You'd better do that or else you'll really face my wrath then. You foolish girl." He turned and stormed out of the room.

Then, turned back when he gets to the door. " I don't want to see that palm print on your face tomorrow. We're having breakfast with the king and his father. Make sure to present yourself well." He told her and walked out of the room slamming the door shut in the process.

Chusi struggled up from the floor and walk to the mirror. She looked at her face, it was swollen red now. She have to do something to make it better before tomorrow morning. She couldn't appear at the banquet like this.

She called her maids back in. They helped her with an ice pack on the swell and apply a very fast effective ointment for her to reduce the swell and remove the redness.

"I'm really sorry my Lady. We didn't know he was coming or else we would have informed you in advance." Cora, one of the maid said looking sympathetically at their miss' bruised cheek.

" It's fine. There's something I want you both to do for me, I want one of you to keep an eye on Nerida, that damn girl ruined my chance with Levi tonight! I want you to keep an eye on her and let me know whenever she isn't with Levi. I need to find a chance to be with him alone. "

" Alright my lady. We'll do that " Elara, the the second maid reply.

Now that her father is pissed, she has to be more careful in the future. Levi has to be hers. She can't make any more mistakes or she'll be doomed.
