Elizabeth and Julie continued until they got to their lunch boxes all of sudden a boy named jack spoke behind, hey haven't you guys heard the biggest news, what is it jack Elizabeth asked, jack had always been known to talk much but she still wanted to hear what he had to say, seeing that they paid attention to him jack continued did you know that last some people said they saw a dragon on the other side of the city, Julie erupted in laughter she said while laughing, jack we know the other side of the city was forbidden and dangerous but dragons really jack, jack tried defending himself as he shouted well it wasn't me who saw it but my dad Elizabeth then asked him what was your dad doing there jack but he couldn't respond.

The teacher called the attention of the students and asked they all take their seats, just as everyone got seated they could hear singing in the playground and the school lights went off and on in each class room, both teachers and students where scared even though this now happened regularly some students peeked their heads through the class windows if they could spot anyone but there was no one the kids became more scared as they could see the merry go round spinning like someone was on it, Dorcas a student in the class suddenly said miss Pete I want to go home now, miss Pete called up little Dorcas to sit next to her teachers table, Dorcas obliged and soon they resumed learning.

Finally it was lunch hour Julie and Elizabeth made their way to the school garden and to their favourite spot under the mango tree, most students sat on the benches in the garden but they where far away from the girls, looked ahead they could see a man sitting by the river bank on the other side of the school, the river had been there before the school was built, most people came their during the weekends for picnics but never during school hours, so how did he get there Elizabeth wondered, Elizabeth looked at the man and felt that he looked familiar she got up, Julie wondered why she stood up and asked Elizabeth where are you going, Elizabeth answered to meet the man by the river bank suddenly Julie turned toward the bank and indeed a man say there but why.
